I think a good lawyer creates enough doubt with just the recording that it could be someone other than Greenwood.
I have absolutely no idea in reality but if all evidence including audio recordings was tied to her and she’s withdrawn her statement does it render it all legally inadmissible?
Speculation anyway, we will probably find out a bit more in due course as this will have mega tonnes of media scrutiny.

Masón Greenwood strikes me as a very immature person, regardless whether this was him or not.on the tape. Having said this, I hope someone in the United hierarchy is going to edúcate him regarding his social and emotional behaviour.
Hate to say it but his girlfriend is a disgrace. Finally had the bottle to come forward and then suddenly changed her mind, why?

I know nothing about the case itself, but from the remarks on here and Social Media he is now in a situation that he is Guilty by inference until such time there is proof of innocence, no case, means no chance of any explanation or mitigating circumstances. Wouldn't be the first person to have been stitched up, but ideally if guilty he should say so. How would you feel if you were on the receiving end in a situation like this? Jury is out...

Remember her dads statement at the time being pretty ****ed up. Seemed like he was angry it had got out as it had meant that they couldn’t have Greenwood in the family making loads of money, rather than concern over his daughters welfare

I've always withheld judgement on these sorts of cases but they don't normally have the above in public domain. So not by 'inference' at all, it's plain as ****ing day.
No possible circumstances can mitigate against that. May be innocent in eyes of law but clearly an absolute scumbag.

The tragic thing is if you're a woman being sexually assaulted by a top footballer you're far less likely to report it now than you were prior to this.
Very worrying evidence if true. As I said if guilty he should say so, I have no proof that this was actually him, I leave that to the experts. I always regret never being given the opportunity to sit on a Jury, I will never know how I would have reacted.

I'm the opposite re jury service though and never want to do it and will get my way out of it if ever called up.
It’s a very tricky one as whilst I’m sure there are some cases where the footballer is the guilty party, there will be more where they have been targeted because of their wealth/fame
Remember a story a while ago involving Cleverly I think. A woman sold her story to a paper saying she has shagged him and at the time he was with some actress so the paper bought it. Cleverly and his mrs asked about it and turned out he was with her or something at the time so definitely wasn’t him and was just a bloke in a club who looked a bit like him who used to say he was him to pull

He's not even innocent in the eyes of the law as he hasn't been tried. There's just insufficient evidence to proceed.
Not in cases where there isn't clear evidence in the public domain as I stated earlier. This quite clearly doesn't fall into that category though. I don't need the full story when "I don't want to have sex" gets the response of "I don't give a ****"

Well he is. He's not currently accused of or under investigation for any crime. Therefore he's innocent.
