We're busting a gut to get Simons through and he hasn't started a league game. I always thought Bruce, despite his limitations always kept the lad who'd done well in the last game in the shirt.

He's never really been a master tactician but a good man manager when he's assemble his own team.
Which is why I'm sceptical that the kid from marseilles has 'just flown in'.

They sign players on 7/8 year deals and amortise the fee over the length of the contract. FIFA are meant to be changing the rules for next summer

Absolutely. To some players it matters. To others they let their feet do the talking.

Especially in Hull City AFC Annals of 'notable 44's'.

no sceptiscm here, a shoe horn midfielder isn’t going to be locking down Lw over a bloke who’s played for Barca and Marseille.

No, it was set up well before we're hearing about it and to a certain extent a domino effect determines the ones who we land.

But this isn't a new interest just we didn't hear about it before.

I'm not disputing he isn't signing, but he hasn't literally just got off a plane unless its chartered.

    That's my point.

Thay can just submit forms of intent. No one needs to actually be physically here to sign.

Assumed we'd see Tim and C Jones go out on loan after not playing for the 23s yesterday but maybe not

The ones that did play have gone instead

He's young and raw. 21. Blistering pace.

Still reckon he'll be introduced with caution.

Hasn't Slater played on the right at times? Tufan's there at the moment so even if it was Slater out of the side Tufan could be shifted across or centrally too.

I know, however it seems ridiculous the amount the likes of Chelsea are spending

See we signed the young Peruvian chap. Wonder if he’ll ever get a visa or if we just pay for him to play for other clubs for the next few years.

They've also sold a few and will sell more in the summer. Gallagher being touted as a 40m sale, I'm sure PEA will go too, as well as plenty of youth prospects for reasonable sums. They got a huge amount for Abraham and Tomori the other window.

We do deserve some good Karma for how charitable we've been recently. All jokes aside, its great to see us exploring new avenues for the future!

I think we're assuming there'll be wholesale changes based on 4 player coming in.

There may well be changes but they'll be more gradual than immediate I reckon.

Some will struggle some will excel and that's just the way of it whether you're Alex, arsene, Jose, Sillva, Adkins, Shota or Liam.

Never has there bee a 100% successful transfer policy under any owner or manager, but I'm more than content with the business we've done and the direction the recruitment seems to be going in - as in we seem to have one which we didn't seem to have in summer.

Something like that. FFP changing to a 5 year cap on amortisation which will limit this sort of stuff going forward, but while the rules are the way they are may as well use them.
