Meh, if that's the case so be it. I'd maybe have a look at Zohore but if he wants more than, say, 50% of Stewart's wages (or a 2year+ deal) I'd tell him to sling his hook. We'll be absolutely fine with what we've got, imo.
Surely there not that naive to put all the eggs in one basket Everton with a new manager always had the potential to keep hold of Simms, the recruitment has done brilliant so far so in them I trust
Wouldn't be surprised unless Everton can somehow convince any players to sign for them in the next few hours. Which doesn't look likely.
What no striker for the rest of the season ? Gelhardt i wouldn't class as an out and out striker either
So he knows nothing? At least Wee Phillie won't be wasting his time camped out in this artic weather... the Mrs has asked for the central heating to be put on and it's only 5 past 4 ffs
I'd rather we muddled through with what we have rather than go through the debacle of the Grigg thing.... panic buys NEVER work out
I’d genuinely take anyone providing it’s a big striker. They don’t need to be fantastic. There’s enough quality around them to cope. as we learned earlier in the season. Anything is better than nothing. My hope is we are holding out for quality. Just waiting for the dominoes to start falling. If that doesn’t happen then we have something as back up we can get over the line quickly.
The whole point in the model is that you’re always succession planning / disaster planning and continually looking for improvements and alternatives This idea that it’s the new system working well that we end up with nobody rather than panic buy implies those are the only two options. If they are, then it’s a fail of the supposed model.
