There was a pass out in front of the East stand to Christie out wide on the other touchline, the ref pulled it back but Christie volleyed in directly back to the passer, sorry not sure who it was, but he trapped it dead on the return, just two sublime bits of play summed up how good we were today

Yeah, if only, instead, I had to have haddock and chips ( with scraps) from Cave Street, four pints of lovely stout in Pave then sit through that 5hite and watch City maul the Drama's. Then return home to a lovely warm house and a wife, the same one I've had for 48 years mind, and a delicious home made chicken curry. Where did it all go wrong?

All the best people have been married for 48:years.<laugh>

There's still a lot to be fixed before we can even consider that possibility. We need to sort the wingers out and we need Greaves back asap. Elder had a solid game but there's oceans between them
You don’t think adding Malcom, Tetteh, Ally, Pelkas and then Traore for the run in will make a difference?
Something Elder offers that Greaves doesn’t is the overlap. He put in a dangerous cross in the first minute today.

I think everyone needed today. Winning away is great obviously, but having something resembling good home form goes a long way for morale. It’s what most of us see and experience afterall. Today was actually fun, which it hasn’t been in a while. It highlighted the nature of the Championship I felt as well. Most teams are much of a muchness so whoever turns up wins. Today it was us.

Have felt ever since Bowen left that whoever has been our number 9 has been very isolated. Was interested to see how it would work with Oscar and Connolly working close together and it clearly worked very well. Hope we can still keep this option when we have more wingers fit.

Finally, what a game & performance, a stuffing been coming, was great to resurrect the old songs, Mauled and we’re winning at home, how **** etc...Home win, at last, icing on the cake a clean sheet.

All played their part to a man, but what a player that Connolly could be, smallish, but aggressive, feisty, not going to be knocked off the ball, just what we need. Sublime ball from Seri for that goal. Thought Elder played well, first start in ages. Tufan showing why he should be starting, funny to see how he had drifted out of the game, about to be subbed at about 60 mins and then comes to life with the goal, subs sat down. QPR poor, not really troubling us, Ingram on hand when needed. And, nice to see for a change, a ref who actually reffed the game, didn’t take any nonsense.

All hail, the nanna from Hull’s grandson, Rosey, what a difference and overall transformation.

Just. Buzzing. Like....[/QUOTE
So right Tigress, decent ref, Connolly's first touch and strike was outstanding for the third goal. Also thought both fullbacks did very well. Saturday night and we have won at home. :emoticon-0100-smile:emoticon-0169-dance

Only a small detail but a throw in to Tufan was instant return on the deck at a pace Christie could control it - was good to watch . They worked well together

Small details make a difference and I noticed the same. So much more enjoyable to watch and more productive. Long may that partnership continue

Feeling quietly confident that everything finally clicks tomorrow. 3-0 City

Gutted I didn't bet on this

It did also finally click. Good early goal brought QPR and apart from a brief spell from them in the second half I never felt like City were out of control. Seri, Elder, Tufan and Connolly all stood out.

Up the tricky Tigers

All comments on here in the main very positive about Citys perfomance. I for one felt a little underwhelmed. We have had better perfomances in the recent past and have got beaten. Turning point for me was the second goal. After our first goal we seemed to go off the boil and QPR were in ascendance and later we had a little luck with the second goal (about time). If QPR had have nicked one back with the score at 1 0 it goes without saying that the result would have more than likely been different. Thought Connolly had a great game and showed eye catching skill when bringing the ball down with aplomb, which in one case led to the third goal. A win is a win and to win b 3 goals and keep a clean sheet is commendable. LR is putting together a team to be proud of.
