Couple more deffensive additions slowly blended in January if we stay up and we are flying

And if we ain't the marsch needs to get the **** out <ok>

yeh… As it stands now. commanding athletic centreback and quality left back... top of my summer wish list. Get them and I think it’s a good side. Hopefully still in the PL

You may be right fella, I’m not sold on him myself, but with those additions it’s a decent looking side whoever manages them,

The only change I'd take right now is Jesse and I want him to succeed.

Problem I have looking at the fixture list is when to pull the gun, and I shouldn't be thinking like that

We've got everything we've cried out for with the exception of a full back.

That's a decent 11 in my eyes, clear the bottom pack and rebuild I'll take that and
Jesse gets another go.

Did you watch the game today?? Performance??

Thought we were poor today, especially defensive and midfield… improved on the ball after the break.

Adams and gnonto been our best two players.., and today highlighted that we miss them.

Jack and paddy our two best players today for me…Rutter hit and miss but showed some positive signs. Luis improved after the break. Hope the minutes will have done him good. So although I thought we were poor in general, there were positive signs for the team going forward.

Could it be that Jesse is a lucky mananger ?

Nearly relegated last season, nearly out of the FA Cup this season.

M'mm maybe maybe...

We're the super Leeds United and we're off to Wemberlee <cheers>
I’m suggesting galway whites should bring a trailer of drink behind bus to Wembley. Long journey and we could get very thirsty

I thought our centre halves got man handled a bit today, led to a few scrambles in the box. Wober had a couple of cooper moments but got away with them. His passing was good. I like him but think he may get found out for pace which be less of an issue if the rest of them had some.

In general I thought we were pretty poor defensively today… and gave up too many opportunities to a pretty functional league 1 attack.

Re scores… I saw meslier given an 8… which surprised me… thought he was poor today as well. Dropped a couple of crosses, which could have cost us… and should have dealt better with the initial shot for the goal.
Milkster, I have everything crossed that (please let it happen) an Adams & McKennie axis in midfield will suddenly make the whole back 4 look way better, then it will be game on :emoticon-0148-yes:

If that happens, and we stay up, a couple more astute additions in defence next year should mean the threat of relegation is non existent…. even if everyone is gunning for us because we are the FA Cup holders <whistle>

amen to that brother <cheers>

If Harrison is sold and the quoted price of £20m is true, we won’t be getting back what we paid for him. I believe Man City have a sell on % for a start, so we paid £11m for him plus 3 loan fees so not far short of the £20m in total. Harrison is worth a lot more than £20m so think we would be stupid selling at that price?

One reporter is suggesting he was on a 7:30am flight this morning and already on his way, another is saying this is more likely.

I guess it depends on if it is a hotel for the night and fresh for a medical on Monday morning or land today and straight in for his medical today.

Seems like Coventry have put in a bid to buy Charlie Cresswell outright and Carricks Middelsboro have now also asked the club how much they want for him. Milwall are clear that they think he stays with them for the season, so let’s see. The madness for me is that Llorente gets a new long contract and Charlie seems to be surplus to requirements when I reckon he is a better option than Llorente?

We’re going to need to raise funds in the summer to meet ffp if we wish to strengthen, Llorente would have been a good one to sell alongside anything we could have got for James

I’m reading that the Weston negotiations were complex as there were conditions to the loan which trigger an obligation to buy, and conditions that leave it as an option. Simple relegation clauses were not the only issue. Either way Juve are the only ones with no options built in

How do we know what the Harrison 4 season loan deal involved. Did city include jacks wages in the loan fees?. If they did not then it has to be the worst piece if business since rads arrived.
Now if we sell him for 25 million and city get some of that (maybe) it still leaves money to spend.
Marsch has stated he likes jack and wants him to stay. His agent will now be rubbing his hands together thinking of his cut from the deal. Also if a club comes in and betters our offer i firmly believe he will be off. The usual excuses will come out about wanting to win trophies and test himself in Europe. Really hope the club do not give in and overpay him. No player is bigger than Leeds utd.Harrison has stood out in the Cardiff replay and Accrington. Brentford game he did not have it in his locker to break their game plan. Rutter may just be the man for those games because he has pace.
I would like to add i detest football agents.

Llorente would have brought in a few million whatever peoples views are, Forshaw a few quid, Poveda, James, Roberts and also Cooper is now a drag on the club. If the club is to move forward we have to move some out. The problem we have we didn’t move a couple on when we should and now we are in a position where it would look like a cull, but it has to happen. We have Harrison telling the club he deserves a big pay rise when he doesn’t and Ayling playing hard ball for a new contract and pay rise because he can walk on a free in June, he should have been flogged last summer and not forgetting Dallas who may never come back but needs dealing with this year

I am hoping Llorente was given an extended deal so we can sit down in the summer and decide if he stays but still have sale value if he leaves.

Gave you a long reply last week on the Charlie situation. I love youngsters coming through and making the grade but they have to be good enough. Maybe the club just don’t think Charlie is quite it? Just looked up his defensive partner from the U18’s & U21’s who you also thought would make it, Oliver Casey. Left us two years ago and never really made the grade at Blackpool and is now currently on loan (and getting game time) at Forest Green Rovers, bottom of league One.

Not a dig at you by the way, just an illustration of how high the standard has to be to really make it.

For the record, Casey is still only 22 so relatively young for a Centre Half so may climb the ladder again but don’t think he will ever be EPL and that is what I said after our Cup defeat to Crawley (think it was that game but could be wrong), just hasn’t got the pace to make that level. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Wouldn’t have been very easy to flog Ayling last summer when he was recovering from surgery. Glad we didn’t, he is still our best right back. If he leaves this summer, he goes with my eternal thanks, been a wonderful player and personality for my club.

Respect to Rads from me. Prepared to upgrade the squad with players of a good age and lose value on his older assets to make it a transition rather than having a car boot sale to grab a few quid. It’s not Football Manager he is playing.

Cant believe FFP can be of any real concern. If our nett spend has been £32 million since the beginning of last summer and we have the 18th highest turnover in world football everyone else must be in trouble. What is Forest’s nett spend? They didn’t even have any players at the end of last season. Fulham and even Bournemouth are shelling out 10’s of millions on players.
