We’re trying to get left back Harry Toffolo in from Forest on loan according to Baz.

 

Would suggest Greaves will be out for a while

 

Unless something's changed, he's absolutely fine

 

Would suggest to me that Elder's chances of a new deal in summer are diminishing.

 

That would be a tremendous signing, superb for Huddersfield last season.

 

Rosie in press conference today said Greaves had been left out of the group today with due to pain issue, nothing long-term though.

Always liked Semenyo but that's a lot of money for him

 

Never consistently fit either

 

I didn't realise he was only 23 either, thought he was older.

 

It must be close if LR has mentioned it in the press conference

 

Did LR mention it or is it just Baz reporting something from a club source?

 

I assumed, but maybe wrong that LR mentioned it as it came out after the pre game presser

 

I hear Toffolo is excellent, but I'm surprised we're after a left back when Greaves is playing well, Elder has always done well there and we've had to loan Fleming out to get him game time. To me it seems like one of our strongest positions.

Presumably the thinking is to get Greaves back to CB (which doesn't bode well for McLoughlin) and then just have one of Elder/Fleming as backup. But if Greaves is playing left back because of the height issue at set pieces, then I'm not sure how this resolves anything. Elder is very good in the air, is Toffolo so much better aerially that it means we no longer need Greaves there for the extra height? The more I think about it the stranger it seems.
