  7. Hmmm, maybe you should stop making ignorant assumptions about people you've never met.

I'm 6ft and 12 stone, and I'm not weak. You can ask the people on this forum who have met me in real life.

I can't stop thinking of Ed Byrne and his stand up sketch about whenever someone mentions they are in the TA.

    Cracks me up every time.

    I wouldn't personally.

Watch out, the recruitment officers lie. It's they're job to make you think it's the best decision you'll ever make.

If you join then you should do so knowing you will be shot at, joing a military operation and believing anything else is foolish.

They're cutting jobs across the board, but still recruiting heavily... doesn't matter what you go in for. Cheap wages & front-line.

Depends what your hopes are for the future and what you can realistically expect to get out of life. They prey heavily on people who are disgruntled or feel helpless in their circumstances.

I would only join if Britain (and my family and friends by extension) was under direct threat.

I remember when you asked about manual labour jobs like working in a factory, and look where that got you. Now you want to join the armed forces. You make me laugh xD. Lazy ****.

Listen to Alfie, Alfie is good, Alfie is wise.

I've been in and seen many highly strung opinionated lads get broken.

Oh, and good luck getting on the ladder in pretty much any office when you get back, irrelevant of what qualifications they offer you.

Bit harsh that like. Mate of mine went through basic with me, transferred to Army Air Corps from Infantry, has now flown Apaches for 10 years, he's coming out in about 4 months after doing his full 21 years and has several companies already banging on his door offering him work. Also know a guy who was in Royal Ordinance Corps now is building manager of the Gherkin in London. Just need to do the right courses etc
