His Keegan "I'll love it" moment is coming very soon and likely going to be wayyyyy more memorable I feel
Out of the 2, I thought there was more chance of Ten Haag becoming the new Frank De Boer. He's proved me wrong. Thought he was on thin ice for a while with the Ronaldo carry on but he's been proved to be spot on. Arteta, as Chief says makes out he's some big name manager that's won it all and the reality is everyone else just laughs at him for thinking he historic like we all laugh at Fosse and Leicester for winning 1 pl and 1 fa cup in over 100 years of history
There was very little chance of Ten Haag doing a worse job than Ole imo, people forget how bad they were under him
Lego Head’s doing a great job with that lot, unfortunately. It’s not a flukey run either, they’re genuinely playing some very good football. Must admit I did not see that happening this season. I think ten Hag is doing par for the course at the moment more so than actually doing well when you consider where Utd should be and the amounts they spend. He’s been aided by how **** us, Chelsea and Liverpool have been too. Howe’s been excellent at Toon, especially considering they haven’t flexed their Saudi money too much yet. Made Almiron and Joelinton look semi competent players, Tripps and Burn have been top signings. De Zerbi, Frank and Silva also doing great work, the latter’s will likely be further proven so tonight
When you said Frank..........I actually forgot about Brentford and dribbled out some coffee like a divkid
In his first season? Ten Hag's doing more than par for the course. Lets not forget Arteta and Arsenal are 3 yrs ahead in what Arteta's building. Klopp and Liverpool 6/7 yrs ahead. Pep and City 6/7 years. Conte not so much.
Mail running with the story too... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...d-sacked-Everton-manager-defeat-West-Ham.html
Goldbridge has a video on you tube this morning saying the same thing (not watched it) but I cant find anything to back it up yet
It appears it's only the official Everton site that's not running whether it's happened or not. Fookers, just get on with it lol
Ten Hag needs to bag that League Cup early doors and that’ll break his duck. I don’t fancy us to get past Barca with our fixture schedule, so won’t complain if he doesn’t win that crap tournament. Arteta won some pots early doors and that bought him time. Losing a final to Newcastle or Southampton is unacceptable.
On what basis though? Utd should essentially be a title challenger and at the very least a top four side, you’re currently top four and I swear you’ve spent over £200m on Antony, Martinez, Casemiro and the Dutch LB, plus getting Eriksen in. It’s hardly amazing work to be where you are but he’s doing more or less what’s expected as a minimum. Like Welshie said, it’s hard to do a worse job than Ole, so not doing **** doesn’t necessarily mean he’s doing good.
Loads jumping on the story now too. Who comes in? Dyche? Can't see too many finding it an appealing job, they're skint and they're ****.
I think Frank is probably better off out of it. Like you I can't think why the job would appeal to anyone, so whoever goes there will need to be thick skinned. I think the behaviour of some of their fans is sad, but that's football today I suppose.
