He’s a player that a lot of people rate but I don’t see it myself.

Under scrutiny at a bigger club, I think he would get exposed

He's a maverick baller with an unshakeable faith in his own ability ... his goals and assist stats over the last 18 months are incredible ... he's also won more UK domestic silverware than anybody in your squad ... <whistle>

I'm watching this game and I can't believe how badly Everton are playing. There's enough in that squad and a decent manager would have them playing better than this.

What's in the squad? I was looking at that 11 thinking who've they got? Most clubs have at least one player you think hmm he's good... i see nothing there

When they signed Conor Coady and James Tarkowski everyone thought they were briliant signings. Then when it's going wrong suddenly they didn't invest in the summer and somehow it's not Lampard's fault.

Hey I'm guessing here but I'm assuming he approved the Maupey signing from Brighton as well.

I don't rate him as a manager but their defence was terrible and getting Tarkowski (free) and Coady (loan) were very good signings I reckon. They can't score and Lampard can't organise them, someone like Emery in charge and they'd finish 11-14th from here.

Maupey and that Burnley winger were 30m+ for very little. Onana (corrected from "obama" which my racist auto correct kept changing it to) looks good though, if they go down he's staying in the Premiership.

They were playing West Ham who've been gash. A decent manager and Everton are more than capable of creating more and getting a result.

Yeh forgot about McNeil who was considered one of Burnley's better players last season.

So that's 4 signings they made last summer to my knowledge and only Richarlison that left.

The narrative however is that they didn't back the manager and have been left short of a decent PL squad.

If trophy count makes a good player then Dani Alves is the true goat.

Don’t get me wrong, Spurs badly need some creativity but I question that Maddison is the saviour.

Because it’s Fat Frank, he’s English and a media darling.

They haven't got an out and out striker, their midfield is none existent so arguably defence should be their best area on the pitch. Coady and Tarkowski are proper solid defenders.

With a world class champions league, record breaking manager, they managed 10th.

I think under anyone else 14th is a stretch.

They have a dreadful squad.

Half decent from Newcastle but will need to spend another £200M++ before they are anywhere near regular top 4 contenders as Pool, Chelsea and Man U still have the ability to attract better players.

Oh and don't forget Man City and Arsenal are streets ahead of them.

That said they're having a great season so far.

What do you think the top 4 will be this season?

He's a talent ... he spots defence splitting passes at will but is also great from dead ball positions ... Kane and Son would love the service he could provide ...

Would hate to see him go tbf ...
