Extraordinarily civil of you BB <doh> Now, in the absence of a decent question I'll just use the first one which comes to mind. Some infamous countries in the past had laws against interracial marriage eg. the USA in the past, South Africa and Nazi Germany but in which country was the practice of interracial marriage compulsory ?

All yours Yorkie <applause> Jose Gaspar Rodriguez de Francia (why are their names always so long !) who ruled the country from 1814 to 1840 (immediately upon independence from Spain), made a law prohibiting all European marriages in the country. Meaning that Europeans could only marry indigenous, mixed race, or partners of African descent. This was presumably to prevent a 'colonial class' from multiplying in the country. Take it away.
