Not only are Dave and Thai great Moderators ,they come across as nice people too........ I wasn t aware of the financial implications of Thais thraeds and will try to participate in his future projects. I only enter Hucks for managers predicto lg thing as i will slip off the radar from time to time and predicting a score and scorer is not too challenging for someone of my mental abilty, i don t fully understand how these dream teams work.....
I am banned from ITFC boards from their over zealous Mods but its a pretty dark depressing place anyway, because they keep losing however there are some good guys over there and i welcome a bit of friendly banter from Welly and Tache, Guru seemed ok too....
WLH is a GC gimp that enjoys attracting attention, negative or otherwise and i have no problem with him, but Moderator he is not and i would leave if he was made one, having said that hes only a 19 year old boy and may grow up in a few years.

Goodness me, seems a lot happened over the weekend!

I was away at my daughter’s in Cambridge, so missed most of it, and have been trying to catch up (didn’t bump into Warky to my knowledge, but there was a guy in the Rose & Crown with an Ipswich shirt three sizes too small! So who knows! (just kidding JWM).

There seems to be some doubt about our mods being backed by City fans, can I just say I think they have been doing a marvellous job(a thankless job in many respects). Obviously I hope Thai will feel able to return to moderating duties should certain changes occur in the system.

To those who say we can just ignore wum posts if we don’t like them, whilst I agree to some extent, I am reminded of a certain ‘gent’ from West London who went out of his way to disrupt EVERY thread. Dave dealt with him in the only way possible after a few warnings. To allow this to happen without restraint would make this board unusable. There are plenty like that particular wum who would create havoc if allowed to. Yes, it's only a football forum, but we still need certain rules to make it a place we enjoy logging in to.

I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I do enjoy the banter from the binners in the main. Warky, welly, plum, white horse and a few others tend to dish it out with a smile on their faces, and can take it back. A few take it too far, and seem unable to post without an underlying snide vindictiveness. It’s no surprise to me to see a couple of them as moderators ‘over there’ I shall be avoiding that area while they are in place, but hope the ones I have mentioned, and like-minded ones continue to come here.

Probably enough has been said already on the matter, but just wanted to add my views.

I'll give you a slight bit of respect you don't <wah> too much. You have a bit of an inferiority complex whenever someone says anything about Ipswich though.

Thanks for answering a question I didn't need to even ask you. Your very proud of Cambridge aren't you? My best mate and his missus lived in Waterbeach for a few years, is there still that decent Japanese restaurant in the centre?

Yeah its still there <ok> Great food

I guess we are all proud to be living where we do. I was born and bred in Ipswich but tbh there are far nicer parts of Suffolk in which to live. I also love the North Norfolk coast especially in the depths of winter, absolutely fabulous!

Not overly impressed or proud of where I live, but needs must I'm afraid.
Guess I was spoiled rotten being brought up on the North Norfolk coast. Totally agree with you about it being awesome in Winter JWM, especially with a howling gale walking along the beach and no bloody grockles to annoy you!

Well at least you are just down the wrong end of the A12 Maestro!

Places like Hunstanton, Brancaster, Stiffkey, Cley, Holt, Fakenham, Cromer are all gorgeous and the beaches are just so desolate in winter. Just you, the beach and the sea and the howling wind. Just perfect when you want to contemplate life! Mind you saying that the Suffolk coast has a few hidden gems as well! <ok>

Didn't realise that Holt and Fakenham had beaches mate. <laugh>

You did however miss out the best spot on the Norfolk coast, but managed to remember the C word <grr>

I used to do a lot of work in King's Lynn. Most of my summer weekends were spent there.

The Bento boxes are brilliant, like having 12 courses lots of variety, really neatly presented, very impressive stuff.

The East of England is highly underrated especially considering how many people go for breaks in the South West, South Coast and Wales etc.

I was in the biggest binhole of them all on Saturday Aston is an absolutely hideous area by Birmingham's standards! The away pub is by the railway tracks in an old warehouse yard with a service hatch serving about four different drinks, complete with broken pallets and chairs for added effect.

My Nan lives in Yarmouth well Gorleston to be precise. She lives in fairly quaint area near the hospital, I remember walking to the shops one morning to buy some Marlboro Lights and a Lottery ticket, passing a mob of kids fighting with planks of wood and throwing bricks at one another!

I agree NN but there are some fantastic Balti restaurants on the curry mile in Birmingham. Well worth a weekend piss up if you love curry! My abiding memory of Villa Park was the FA Cup semi final we lost to Man City with ****ing Paul Power scoring in added time. Kevin Beatties last ever game and he broke his arm and had to come off. The scummy Mancs spitting at him. I have hated those Mancy ****s ever since even more than Manure!
