Roll up, roll up: Might be your last ever chance to see the fabled and historic dugouts at Goodison as Everton will go down this year so we won't play them next year. Then they'll have moved to the new place in preparation for their rapid decline down the footballing ladder until their local derby is with Tranmere Rovers. We can hope.

Saints come into this match after giving Manchester City a damned good drubbing.

We clearly can beat a team in form on the front foot.

Can we beat an off-form team that sits back?

Can Frankie Lampard pull together a good performance for once?

Will their crowd get behind them or start booing if they're not winning after 15 minutes (who could imagine such a thing?)

Will NJ turn out to be not quite as bad as thought?

Find out in this week's episode of Soap.

I shall do what I did for last night's match. Slip away to the spare room and listen to relaxing soothing music and when it is all over the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov will give me the news, good or bad. I will remain calm and collected and will not be tempted to write any of the poisonous, acrimonious things some have written about NJ. I will also not be tempted to do a 180 degree turn of opinion as some fans have. I'm giving the bloke time and saving my blood pressure.

Trying for three bets in a row to come in (I backed us to win - unfortunately only at kick off, so 9/1 - last night for the usual massive £1 lump on).

So, you heard it here first, folks. 1-3.

As an aside, Sutton was (not altogether unsurprisingly) very uncomplimentary about Saints after our win last night. Basically "They've done it once, but they won't be able to continue" His main reason seems to be that he doesn't like us. Or is that paranoia?

I never, ever listen to him. Another professional contrarian, and it’s very dull.
