@Ron waffleI have still never been to St James’s. I need to put that right before I die, not sure I fancy it on a school night though. What’s Munse’s latest incarnation, maybe he’d put me up for the night?
My concern is that he's hearing too much of the **** being talked about him. Be healthier to turn the internet off and stay away from the papers. He shouldn't know what the Havant manager said let alone give it a second thought.
Nathan Jones has just beaten Pep Guardiola and limited his Manchester City side to zero shots on target - and he’s beefing Havant & Waterlooville manager Paul Doswell in the press conference![]()
I’d recommend some serious altitude training before you have to climb the 20 flights of steps to get to the away section. Take some oxygen and binoculars too. It isn’t any harder on a school night, always the same slog whichever day the game is on.I have still never been to St James’s. I think partly the mood has been building from before Jones was appointed. Ralph had gone so the next guy in was the target. The team wasn’t playing well, so partly my reaction was because the whole club was sinking like a stone. Quite like a manager who gives it back to fans and critics who love dishing it out.I haven't really understood the O/TT animosity over NJ, but perhaps he has been honing up his WUM skills to have a go at the ones with a guilty conscience over their behaviour? Whatever he has succeeded!
Jury is still out, but perhaps the Everton game will give us a clue.
It's a bit complicated because Everton have problems of their own. Their fans are planning a series of protest actions over their current situation. This could go either way with the game. If we can get on top early doors we could rattle the Everton team into making mistakes and get their crowd getting up against their team?
Knowing our luck it will spur their team in to performing for Frank and spoil our party. Funny old game.
Credit where it’s due, absolutely sensational performance.
Mad club. Where did this win even come from. I hope we use it as a bench mark and go at Everton now.
It’s the Southampton Way. Drive us all to the brink of despair, then remind us why we ****ing love football after all…
Should be a straightforward, routine victory for Nathan Jones barmy army
Me too. I took my two eldest and my Dad for their First Wembley. I remember looking through those bloody awful cages . IIRC Kevin Moore ( bless him) scored a header but I may be wrong.Zenith Data Systems cup final (full members)
edit: it was 92, I was there at the old Wembley
Also. I should have put a bet on
I think they said it was 276 games !!!April 2018 was the last time City failed to register a single shot on target in any game. That’s some defensive effort from us! Amazing
Went there once with a geordie mate as part of his stag, we were at the top of what was then the newish standI’d recommend some serious altitude training before you have to climb the 20 flights of steps to get to the away section. There’s the team talk for both legs of the semi final sorted.I absolutely love that there are loads of Newcastle fans booking trains and hotels for the final.
The Scousers were the same in 2017 iirc.
The guys clearly a fighter so I'm sure this just motivates him moreKind of agree, but it was an interview with Adam Blackmore, who is close to the club and works for the BBC. So Jones/people behind the scenes are bound to hear about that interview, not necessarily that Jones was seeking out everything being said about him (although he could be).
As I said yesterday, I liked seeing him bite back, but from now he needs to bring the fans along with him and not continue to focus on the criticism he's had from us.
