I’m ready for the glue factory.

Got osteoarthritis in both hips, with a labral tear in the right groin. It ****ing well knacks.

Over Christmas my back went and my left thigh felt like it had been hit by a 50 cal round. I, literally, couldn’t walk. Total and utter agony.

Been to the doctors and it looks like I’ve got pirifomis syndrome to add to my dodgy hips.

I’m now on indometacin ( v strong anti inflammatory’s) and Zapain ( codeine and paracetamol) to try and get it under control.

I’m seeing a physio and having deep muscle massages and to be honest it’s starting to get me down. I’ve had a cortisone injection as well, that didn’t work. I can do next to **** all.

Been told to take it easy for 4 weeks to get the pirfomis syndrome sorted and that I’ll be re assessed for hip replacements in July.

I’m dragging myself to work, thankfully I work in an office but it’s really hard work.

All I can say is living in constant pain isn’t very pleasant ( obviously) and can be depressing at times but you’ve just got to live in the hope that better days are ahead.

    More like a limping catastrophe……

I have more of less the same diagnosis as yourself. Both hips, both shoulders, this backside thing you're talking about, bilateral inguinal hernias and a prostrate the size of a large water melon.I do forklift and manual work in a warehouse but I've cut to 3 days a week to try and alleviate the situation and go to the pub on my days off to numb the pain:emoticon-0103-cool:

Dr gave me Codeine and Naproxen but they don't touch it,can't take ibuprofen because I have Diverticulitis and take tablets for high BP so they upset my stomach so I basically take paracetamol..

You're right, living in pain is no way to live.I got an appointment with the physio after a 6 month wait, all he did was offer up exercises to keep my joints moving?

Do me a favour...When you're on the way to the glue factory, can you give me a lift(I don't drive either)?

    I can laugh about it because,like you,if I didn't I'd be digging the hole deeper...We'll get there:emoticon-0148-yes:

Same problems like you two guys. Osteoarthritis in left hip and left knee * years of wear resulting from playing football almost 60 years apparent cause.. Been staggering around on crutches for just over a year now, crawling up & down stairs on my arse in excruciating pain. Can't ever drink alcohol to dull the pain because of heart issues (atrial fib).

Have my hip replacement op next Monday thank goodness. Sort out knee work later after hip rehab.

Are there group deals at the glue factory by any chance?

    Good luck fellas.

I'm sure we can negotiate some sort of 'Bogof' deal and arrive in our droves at a reduced priced admission(Buy one got one free, if you're not familiar with our natty little Supermarket buzz words) .

Good luck and a swift recovery with your operation.

It’s pirifomis syndrome that I’m suffering from as well, a literal pain in the arse.

    Hope things improve for you.

Me too lower right side back is always painful due to left knee being shot after too long playing footie . Now got GTPS in both hips ( lateral hip tendinitis sort if ) But when checked NhS Physio’s rove my hip and said you’ve got arthritis in one , after the appointment that hip still hurts from 6 weeks ago !! It didn’t before . !
Was told until I get severe pain and can’t walk properly no chance of a new hip!!. I have piriformis trouble - I do a lot of exercises every day and they help to be honest - developing buns of steel , quads but it’s hard work . Sleep is terrible as you can’t find a good position so you toss and turn . Take occasional paracetamol but hardly dies anything for this.

Mate ex pro footie player only 52 got both hips done in this last year , lives in Sheffield . Hips will be done for the younger ones who are working but I’m beginning to realise once you’re 65 up you’re far from a priority and I think that could well apply to other treatments . Of course it will be denied .

I bought a special pillow to put between my knees to sleep with but if anything I think it was making matters worse.

Kipped last night with a normal pillow between my knees and I feel a lot better today, it was pretty comfortable to be honest.

Picking anything up off the floor is a right laugh as well.

    Don't give up.
This is 100% for real, and there's many, many more like it.
And it's NOT yoga (as you know it).
Wait to the very end of the video.

It moves down my thigh to the back of my knee from time to time, but not my back, so you still win. <laugh>
