Here's what you could've won - an away trip to Sheffield Weds, and an opportunity for the 5th round.

The club can't keep bleating on about being skint when they turn out ****e like yesterdays performance...a cup run and a chance to play against one of the big teams would certainly help put some cash into the coffers

Yes, I did see the interview, which is why I made the comment. Whilst he was refreshingly honest and critical, I still can't imagine him raising his voice in a convincing or motivational way. I thought he was "grit the teeth", "talk tough" angry. As a former team captain, I think you sometimes need to shout and, metaphorically, break the china. He seems way too nice for that.

I don't know but I felt he was proper angry in that interview and trying to keep the lid on it a bit, which I doubt he did with the players.

The game was the first one I've not seen this season apart from highlights which were pretty much just rerun after rerun of the goals. But when Sinton and London in their Commentary and the Manager say we were really terrible, I believe them.

We just seem to go round in circles at this club. I wonder what the owners long term goal is ..... maintaining championship status at the most.

It was bad enough watching it on TV, but Clive has excelled himself with his anger at witnessing this in the flesh. This should be printed out and plastered on the walls of the changing rooms at Heston for the inept ****s to read and digest.

Dieng and Field only ones to not get a 2 rating says it all.

As said before, only Dieng, Dunne and Dickie had the balls to approach the away fans at the end. Gutless display all round

I think he's going easy on them
    Pointless showing it to them
If they cared enough they wouldn't have lost

When they are losing a million a month, the aim cannot be to stay where you are! Rich men may have their peculiar ways but I've never heard of one who likes to throw his money away month after month.

Just a bit of bigger picture.

    1. Owners are investing in the training ground. That remains a sign of intent.

    2. If the mythical new ground ever materialises, I think we'll see even more investment then.

    3. We are in competition for new fans with at least three clubs. If you were completely new to footie, we'd you start supporting Brentford or QPR?

None of that is an excuse for the poor performances. I do wonder how gutting the Blades goal was on 97 mins? I definitely had a bad few days footie wise after that and I can't imagine what that does to a player.

Before the Luton game, the fella who sits a few seats down told.me he thought it was a very odd team selection and stated it looked like a 0:3 home defeat. How come Mr Average Footie Fan saw that coming and the man who is paid big bucks to sort it out could not? That question is rather serious.

Having said all of that, it's QPR. We're in the doldrums (again). We'll (probably) find some momentum soon and everyone will be delighted with mid to lower table obscurity and facing 23/24 with renewed hope, enthusiasm.and a belief that it will be 'our' season! Maybe.

    Christ that's damming.
I particularly liked the comments about spending.
We seem to be the only club, apart those under embargos, who can't get around FFP in some way or other.
It appears that our club is, in the main, being run by morons.
Add to that the terrible attitude of the players and we appear to be in a very bad place.......yet again.

It's interesting to see how Brentford have developed as a club. Their scouting network is only something we can dream of.
There's something fundamentally wrong at QPR and it stems from right at the top. Whatever is said about Briatores reign, he knew what he wanted and he was ruthless in getting it. Tony bought a premier League club and has ruined it. There is absolutely no ambition from the owners. Firstly I would rip up the whole scouting network (especially after watching that amateur video) and employ some real talent identifiers.

Spoke to a Southamptin fan yesterday who was singularly underwhelmed with Nathan Jones and told me that Jones had been appointed becuase of all the stats calculated Brentford style.

I don't think I've been as pissed off for a long time at the state we are in. Dieng, Dunne and Field are the only players I would keep from this team, the rest, including Willock, can **** off as far as I'm concerned. Off the ball, it's like playing with 10 men recently with Willock. Chair is probably playing at his highest level, dykes is ****, I so wish we had cashed in on Dickie. Laird isn't ours, Adomah is an OAP, Shodipo is never going to make it if he hasn't by now. The list goes on.

I was just looking, with interest or despair, at our first team squad.
    3 keepers, 11 defenders, 11 midfielders, 3 strikers

3 strikers! One is Roberts, well … nothing to say about him, he isn’t a striker; I’m not even sure he’s an interested party tbh. Sinclair Armstrong is a youth who has some promise but massively lacks experience (yet to score a first team goal). And, lastly, our only hope up front Mr Dykes - 26 games, 6 goals, no assists - wtf!
But thankfully we are over half way through the season and someone (who?) has (possibly?) suggested we get in a loan striker for the rest of the season.

Analytics and recruitment - what the **** are you doing????

I wonder if we had two keepers on the bench with a view to one of them trying out as a striker? Who knows

Compare our strike force to those giants Luton Town. Woodrow, Adebayo, Cornick, Jerome and Morris. This has been our problem for a while now. Obviously our scouting system isn't working.
Saying that, who would actually want to join us in this current state. We have no identity, no style of play and no heart. We are not an attractive proposition as it stands.

    All true.
We have all tried to work out what is going on and years on we are, none of us, better off understanding.
Are we not getting the ball in the area?
    Can’t we shoot on target?
    Are the crosses useless?
    Are we too busy defending?
    What’s our style of football?
Are we passing the ball sideways and backwards too often?
    What’s our formation? :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Are we shooting outside the box too often?
    Are our wingers crap?
Are, sorry is, our striker crap?

Probably a random array of any/all of these things at any game in any random play order.

Personally, I’d say the problem is we don’t get enough (good) strikers in the box to take advantage of our opportunities.
    - Poor/lack of recruitment.

Attitude seems to be binary - it’s either on or off!
    - Poor coaching (coupled with poor recruitment criteria and analysis perhaps - as this seems to a current topic).

    Below average squad standards
    - Underfunding - yeh, yeh I get FFP. But we have a number of first team squad players eating up good cash who are League 1 standard - sort it out, release cash, get in better quality. We’ve wasted good money on many a player over the years and released them from contracts to get rid. And again - who the **** signed Hamaleinen up again?

Just incoherent ramblings if a frustrated fan.

watching certain matches yesterday in the highlights. We lack energy.
Watch Wrexham, Sheff Wed ,Stevenage, Blackpool etc. they all had multiple people in the area at one time and looked like they never stopped running.
The only real highlight for me was how CFC imploded. Potter for PM i say.

An astonishing "Tour de Force" by Clive, written in 'plain' English. It deserves to be read with a soft musical background. for example, a solemn Dirge, somehting suitable by Beethoven, perhaps?
