Match Preview;
So after a good point against Sheffield United, which felt disappointing due to their late equaliser, next up is a cup tie away to Fleetwood Town. Fleetwood Town currently sit 13th in League 1, having lost 2, won 2 and drawn 1 of their last 5. Their top scorer is Carlos Mendes Gomes, with 5 goals, with Shaun Rooney second on the list with 4 goals. Their head coach is ex-Celtic hardman Scott Brown, who started there in his first coaching role last May.

As for us, Monday night was frustrating, but also so much better in so many ways. Only disappointment was that we didn't take our chances and get a second goal that would have sealed an impressive win, and then of course we were punished for it. Given that our league form has been so patchy, I'm not that hopeful of a cup run, and after all, this is QPR in the cup, it usually doesn't go well. That said, it would also be typical of us to put on a good showing, win a few, and bring in some much needed extra income which comes from a few cup games, and the possibility of drawing a much bigger club in the next round.

Team News
QPR: Stefan Johansen and Leon Balogun edge closer to a return, with Ethan Laird and Jake Clarke-Salter both set for a return.

Fleetwood Town: David Harrington is side lined, with Callum Morton and Carlos Mendes likely to return.

Pre-match Talk
Neil Critchley (QPR Head Coach): “I want myself and all the QPR supporters to be looking forward to the fourth-round draw because it is exciting, and I desperately want us to be in the hat.

“We must make sure we are ready to earn that spot. If we are not, this competition is notorious for upsets, and we don’t want to be one of them this weekend.”

Scott Brown (Fleetwood Town Manager): “For us, we need to make sure we are on our game. We are playing a Championship club and it’s a great experience for our players. We want them to enjoy it, we want them to show that there isn’t much of a difference between the two sides.

“For us, we want to be able to compete at home against them on Saturday.”

...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

Given how thin our squad is I see this only as an opportunity to give the youngsters and fringe players a run.

Hope not!

NC needs some results so I think it will be quite a strong line up, not that necessarily means anything!

NC will be looking at getting a win to get the momentum flowing. Same starting eleven from Monday. Also another seven days to the next game.

Team news and manager comments added. Critchley sounds up for it, like he really wants a win...does he know our history in the FA Cup?

Just checked for upcoming games on TV here in Florida and our game is listed on the ESPN internet service that I recently signed up for @ $9.99/mth, so I am wondering if my partner Wensy will perhaps get to see her first ever R's win?

Now I have told her about our famous cup traditions. Wendy has indicated that she wants to come to UK with me to see an R 's game at Loftus Road at some point in the future, visit the Crown & Sceptre pre-game and the Coningham Arms for post- match celebrations or to drown our sorrows in Guinness and Irish Whiskey.

I also have my one and only 1st cousin living on the Isle of Wight who would very much like to meet her.

Forest sold 3.5k tickets for Blackpool cup tie, could make it an interesting pre and post match beer in Blackpool for the 1k Rs fans!
