A very good pal of mine died last year through cancer (Kevin Outhwaite). He was a mad SAFC fan. You might have seen him on all the North East news channels. Season Ticket holder in the West Stand. He went to visit Bobby at his home and he said Bobby was a true gent even though he was to die a couple of months later.
Bobby gave Kev a couple of strips to raffle for The Bobby Robson Foundation. We have continued to support the charity.

I think Bobby is the only man who could touch the heart of both sets of fans in the North East whether red n white or black n white !!!

    Well done Bobby and R.I.P.

Sir Bob, what a true gentleman. Sadly, they dont make them like that anymore.

I still think its sad that it takes the death of someone so great to bring everyone together.

And you wonder why you get banned. Sometimes if you have nothing good to say its best say nothing. I am watching every post you do Chris, dont let me down.

It doesnt mate, many good debates on here and the Newcastle board between both sets of fans, sadly most go without a whimper and its the extremests we read.

  13. syd we agreed when i rejoined that i was a value to this board as long as i was to not cause trouble. i merely stated i find it hard to see past the geordie roots thats all, wasnt abusing, was winding, wasnt acting myself. i did nothing wrong and stand by my comment

What I meant was that, it takes something really special to see one of the stands at st james' covered not only with black and white, but also red and white shirts. the one time rivalry can be put aside. no one winding each other up, no one causing any bother.

We can all have banter, christ, i live with one of them. But the way sir bob touched everyone was truely special.

Cant imagine shearer doing the same

He's a good lad. Eats with his mouth open though....and has been slightly insufferable since halloween.

Cant escape the mags up here though, thousands of them. Not many of us like, but its quality not quantity.
