Saw his widow, Lady Elsie, at the last game. R.I.P
Happy birthday bob will raise a glass to you tonight a true gent![]()
cant bring myself to say it
Sir Bob, what a true gentleman. Sadly, they dont make them like that anymore.
I still think its sad that it takes the death of someone so great to bring everyone together.
It doesnt mate, many good debates on here and the Newcastle board between both sets of fans, sadly most go without a whimper and its the extremests we read.
syd we agreed when i rejoined that i was a value to this board as long as i was to not cause trouble. i merely stated i find it hard to see past the geordie roots thats all, wasnt abusing, was winding, wasnt acting myself. i did nothing wrong and stand by my comment
What I meant was that, it takes something really special to see one of the stands at st james' covered not only with black and white, but also red and white shirts. the one time rivalry can be put aside. no one winding each other up, no one causing any bother.
We can all have banter, christ, i live with one of them. But the way sir bob touched everyone was truely special.
Cant imagine shearer doing the same
cant remember agreeing that bit but I'm not getting into a debate with you.
Now we know why you moved to Aberdeen
cant bring myself to say it
