Always liked robin Williams but for me, especially 20 years ago it has to be Chubby Brown. These days jimmy Carr is very good and very rude in his live shows
Chuffed to bits that someones asked this question, as only on Thursday night I was dragged to the New Brighton Floral Pavillion to watch some lad called Justin Moorhouse. Now whilst Iam not a big fan of these modern day so called stand up comedians..this lad was very funny indeed and had a great night Incidently this lads doing Darlington Arts Centre on the 11th Nov 2011, if you get the chance pop along and see him...Bloody hell I sound like a promotor...lol...seriously though he gave us a great night
Billy Connely for me. I saw him live at Barrowland back in the 80's, excellent gig. He's been in the business for over 30 years & continually comes up with new material. I used to enjoy Frankie Boyle on Mock The Week. I got a dvd of his one time & it was exactly the same stuff he'd done on there. Dissapointing that.
Billy Connolly for me too. The guy is a genius and this is one of my favourites.........
The old ones are still the best!!
Rhod Gilbert is absolutely brilliant imo
this fella used to live in the same street as me great aunt Nellie in Penshaw. She said he was always a workshy bugger but very funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdA26Bl0EEA&feature=youtube_gdata_player And can't leave out these guys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyrunPV6P1g&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I loved this football related performance by Billy Connelly
Lee Mack for me. Saw his stand up at the theatre royal after watching one of his shows on DVD, what a class act.
Billy connelly, Les dawson, Bill hicks, Bobby thompson, Chubby brown, Steve mclaren ( when he changes languages in interviews !) and the bloke from Newcastle with long black hair.
