Brentford show how its done. Toney on the verge of a ban for Brentford and act quickly.
"Brentford are set to announce Kevin Schade as new signing, done deal and here we go! Announcement in the next 48 hours. Loan with €24m buy option. Medical completed." Ok not a out and out striker but still a attacker player.
Leeds United 18 months without Bamford and we are still scratching our heads.

Oh they also added Youne Wisna too another winger/forward/Striker option and chasing a 3rd. Defo trying to stay where they are. dunno how good they are but defo bolstering a squad which will be minus one of their talismen Toney.

So how can they afford to spend £20 million on a player but we need to ship out James to bring in Gnonto who cost much less when we’ve had an extra season of premier league money?

New wealthy owner, who said he's going to splash the cash.

We didn’t ship out James for Gnoto. We shipped out James for Gakpo or Dieng but by the time they both fell through James was having his medical and Gnoto was bought, we were always signing Gnoto for the U23s anyway but it was going to be January however they did it early due to missing out on players when they already sent out James. It was a bit of a shambles really.

Whilst I want to believe that, it should mean we have £30m or more ready to move for the next marquee signing. We have time to still do that but my opinion is we have as much chance or signing a player for that kind of money as we have of qualifying for the Champions League

I've said this before... I don't think we're going to make a 'marquee' signing. It's going to be done on a team, not a name. We're playing Moneyball it's simple as that.

Should imagine Toney is being lined up with a big money move. Easily triple their investment on him and they continue to make money.
