There are plenty of scouts floating around the younger age groups in the Russell Foster leagues. Fingers crossed for himCheers mate, absolutely gutted that I couldn't watch him. he's a seriously decent midfielder so if any SAFC scouts read this board...........! Pools Youth under 7s blue team number 8![]()

Probably the next one south of Russell Foster, my son plays in RF and its County Durham sides (Old County Durham as it used to be including Tyne and Wear).I'm not sure what league he plays in. With him being in Hartlepool, he's played against teams from Middlesbrough, Billingham, Darlington and even played a cup game down Whitby!

They will still have scouts at them most likely though. I've seen Boro academy sides branded as 'Teeside Barcelona' and the like.![]()
Aye, we have played them a few times over the last few years. Always good sides. You can tell the academy sides a mile off, they way kids pass, move and dribble etc. Couple of sides in our league last year had safc and nufc academy lads playing. He's played against one of the Boro academy and they're pretty good. Mind you the venue they play at was a nightmare when I went with the grandson. About a dozen courts all taken and you're given a time slot when the game is and have to try and find the court and when you do, there's no time for the kids to warm up!

Gets very tasty on the sidelines as well sometimes when the parents get going.Kids football can be really competitive at times - they don't give an inch! I get as much enjoyment watching the gradson play as I do watching Sunderland

Didn't swear once though so I was quite proud of that I've seen parents going at refs and the other teams' parents loads of times. A few of our refs have only been 15/16 years old themselves just starting out.I can vouch for that - argued with a referee when he gave a penalty against the grandson!Didn't swear once though so I was quite proud of that

That's my Grandson, in his first season, he's 15.I've seen parents going at refs and the other teams' parents loads of times. A few of our refs have only been 15/16 years old themselves just starting out.
Is he reffing in the Russell Foster league mate? Had him ref us at Newbottle on the grass pitches and a couple of the new hubs if it's himThat's my Grandson, in his first season, he's 15.
Been lucky he's only had one 'incident' with a parent so far, but he loves it, mind at £12-15 a match it's a bit of pocket money for him.
