Truly woeful...again. The booing has started and some of it's aimed at Levy...so, Conte's a goner, that much is certain. He can have no complaint whatsoever, but we are really up **** creek...now....and even more so in the summer. Three and a half seasons since the CL Final, we will be looking for our 5th (FIFTH) manager...and will probably reappoint the bloke who led us in that woeful 'performance'.
Yeah sorry. If it’s like myself then I’d much rather get back to see my baby girl than give those useless pricks anymore of my time. Gueezer don’t want to be there, no one wants him there, just **** off. Four **** wingbacks? Use your imagination and come up with something that doesn’t rely on wingbacks. Another manager that can’t actually manage, just rely on cash being thrown at everything.
6 attempts at home to villas 12 Not a single decent performance and substitutions as bad as the performance. Genuinely think Conte could be gone by our next game on Wednesday. 3 losses out of our last 4 home games. Conceded 2 goals or more in our last 7 premier league games. Not kept a clean sheet in our last 9 games in all competitions Went out of a cup by losing 2 nil to forest. Not a single good first half performance in the last 10 games. Continually persisting with Sessegnon, Royal, Dier and Lloris even though they have all put in terrible performance on a regular basis this season. An irrational refusal to play spence. Turning Bissouma into a joke of a player by refusing to play to his strengths. Can't say that I'd feel bad if he goes tbh but God knows who we'll bring in ... cos imho Pochettino is partially responsible for the mess we're in due to his transfer policies from 2018 onwards. He also shares Contes trait of playing out of form players. But I cannot believe what Conte has done with this squad tbh.
Davies didn't actually do a thing wrong all afternoon, constantly fed Perisic and tried hard to link play, but was fighting a losing battle. Doherty was arguably the 2nd least worst out there.
Nah he was toilet just like the rest of the team. Shouldn’t be anywhere near our XI in general though, awful player.
But that’s what I’m saying, he wasn’t even slightly better than anyone, he was just as **** as the next guy. The problem with him though is that he’s almost always ****, unlike some of the others in our side. It’s only because Emerson is utterly atrocious that he probably doesn’t come in for the criticism he deserves because he’s truly awful. Don’t quite get how he’s made it as far as he has. We’ve probably got two of the worst RBs/ RWBs in recent Prem history both at the club.
I can see Conte walking soon especially if he’s not getting his wishes on transfers. A dismal performance but it’s hardly surprising as we have been sliding out of the top 4 for some time. We are likely to drop to 6th if Liverpool and Man U win their game in hand. Lloris made one mistake that led to a goal. It happens but at home, we should be able to compensate by scoring more. The way Conte has set up the team is shocking. It took until the 19th minute before Kane managed to touch the ball. We certainly missed Bentancur and Kule today. We fall apart without Kule. Isn’t the club for sale if the right buyer comes along? I’m sure I’ve read this somewhere. I think it’s time for levy and Lewis to leave. Levy has tried everything and nothing is working.
Looks like I'll be muting the term "£30m" on Twitter, as that's the latest Lunatic Fringe dogwhistle...
I think there’s rumours the club will listen to offers but I’m not sure if we’re essentially up for sale per se. I do agree that I think we could do with a change of ownership now to try a different approach, there’s a risk a new owner could be worse but I feel we’ve hit a brick wall with the current set up. Problem though is I’m not sure who could afford us, as I think ENIC would value us at well over £2.5bn.
I've just been sent this from another site. I can't argue with a single thing on here... "Conte looks done. As I said in the match thread I think the instability has hit the squad and I'm not sure why they always do this but as usual the footballers have used the manager possibly leaving as an excuse not to play. But those most passionate about him leaving and those who don't mind ask yourself what happens next? "We have been here countless times and I'm bored of it. It wasn't Conte who has overseen the total lack of investment for years, it wasn't Conte who built such an unbalanced ageing squad, it wasn't Conte who didn't back the manager who almost won us the league and then appointed a big mouth plaster to save a rebuild which of course turned to ****. It wasn't Antonio who took months to find a replacement, made a speech about attacking football and then hired ****ing Nuno. The point is the person in charge has shown himself to be a footballing idiot. Sure he might be a great property developer but we know what happens when we get a new manager, we know because we have seen it time and time again. Last night I saw a video package of the last season at the Lane. It heavily featured Poch and I'll be honest brought a tear to my eye. I've no doubt Poch will be our manager sooner rather than later and I will be emotional and over the moon at the time. But ... We all know how it ends. The squad isn't suited to Pochs style of football at all so again were talking rebuild , patience etc etc but let's be honest Daniel Levy doesn't have the bollocks or patience for a rebuild. Poch won't be backed, Levy will use their personal friendship to get Poch to act as a shield and we all know sooner or later it ends in tears. I'm so bored of the clubs incompetence. Levy should have been sacked over the Nuno thing but here he is and were a mess. We have a coach who won't commit because the club won't commit to him, a squad that has clearly stopped playing and a fanbase fed up, tired and split due to the constant cycle of crisis/hope/crisis/hope." In the summer of 2021, I was angry about it. I probably don't care enough anymore to get that angry...and that's a real shame.
I was angry about it in late '19, again in '20 and again '21. I'm so far beyond anger now it's tragic
But it was conte who plays the same formation every week. It’s the same conte who uses the same 12 or 13 players. I think the biggest gripe is that his favoured formation and tactic is no longer working so maybe an ‘elite’ manager that he claims to be should try something different although I would suggest he’s happy to take the pay off and walk. 7th at best this season.
