Woods dropped a Freekick on Oscars head though didn't he? An inch away from an assist, no? Don't remember Seri beat the first man from a deadball in the last game. Tufan the same. Oh, and re: Sinik cutting in. He seems to have this fizzer of a delivery with so much curve and spin then anything but a perfectly clean clearance is just going to cause havoc in the box. Keano did the same thing but it was usually direct at the keeper cos he had the pace and dynamism to get beyond, and they sometimes went in, but lets not dismiss Sinik too quickly just yet either. And Coyles crossing is something else most city fans underrate as well. He's (at least occasionally) got a sweet right foot in that respect. We sit in our arm chairs after the fact and pass judgement but most of our playing squad have shown something positive in the first half of this season. Organisation under shota once the going got tough fell apart but has any one of the signings made under Acun really been a dud? At worst they've been injured and still settling and remain unknown quantities.
200 of our away fans losing 5-1 or whatever create a better atmos and provide more support to the lads on the pitch than North and East stands combined in a 19k attendance at home drawing 1-1. Last 2 at home proved that.
Didn’t go just watched the highlights. Woods was piss weak on the lead up to Blackpools goal. Should have won comfortably Pretty obvious what we need and it’s in the forward areas.
The team and it’s approach set the tone , we start slowly play slowly and wait forever for some real action. Chicken and egg with fans singing , at the moment too many with heart in mouth as we pass it at the back or the opposition pinning us back. It was like it at home in the Premiership , hands under the legs just waiting for the opposition to score . Personally I try to get them going around me but too many ex west stand and other snooker watchers .
Surprised this is the first time I've seen anyone say that about Woods. Watching it back I agree, he was really bullied off it when he should've been favourite. Think we all know Ingram made a mistake with the pass, but I think Woods was also culpable.
It’s just a clusterfuck really. After he’d been fouled Ingram should’ve just punted it away. Instead he plays a 2 yard pass to Jones despite there being Blackpool players on the edge of the area. We can blame the system all we want but to even think that’s a good idea after looking at what’s in front of you puts the blame on Ingram for me but yeah Woods hardly covers himself in glory. The type of player he’s meant to be, a ball into his feet like that is supposedly his bread and butter
I think it's also worth pointing out, amidst all the finger-pointing, that even after our mistake(s), it was still only a half chance from outside the area that their lad buried. We fluffed much better chances in that game.
