And gorgeous….please tell me she was nice
She was.
And gorgeous….please tell me she was nice
She was.
You would have destroyed my dreams if you said she wasn’t
And gorgeous….please tell me she was nice
I didn't know Ranking Roger died ... **** me, I can't keep up?

While we’re here RIP to the Mayfair as well. Was up in Toon last week and walked past where it used to be in Newgate St. Now a shopping centre. A perfect size 1500-2000 capacity place, strange shape with the stage on the ‘long’ side of a rectangular space. Always reminded me of the tragically departed Hammersmith Palais for some reason.First saw them at the Mayfair in Newcastle late 1979, on the 2 Tone tour with Madness and the Selecter. Mayhem, fighting, nearly all the audience on the stage at the end, as Jerry Dammers demanded.
Last saw them with the whole family September last year at the Ricoh in Coventry, first real gig post lockdown.

Just about to get in the treadmill accompanied by the Specials. ****, this one hurts.

In addition, there are only 2 other members of the 1966 squad who are alive - Ian Callaghan and Terry PaineRIP George, forever a hero for 66. A seriously underrated defender, who George Best said was the best right back he ever faced. Sad that only 2 of the boys remain alive !
