Seems he was one of many rioting Moroccans attacking French people celebrating in various parts of France, much as they did in Belgium and Holland. They came across a car with a French flag in and attacked it, so the driver understandably tried to get himself out of the situation.

There was no attack, they just pulled the flag off his car and he ran them all over, he'll almost certainly get done for manslaughter.

He did a u turn to try to get away. How dare he display a French flag in France? Did you see the Moroccans throwing bricks at a flat with a French flag on the balcony? They carry on like that in a lot of places in Europe. Funnily enough the ones in London don’t and are a lot better behaved than other groups living here.

That rather depends which reports you read.

So, according to OLM, a group of City fans surrounding a Sunderland car and trying to grab a flag would not be doing anything and the driver should just sit there calmly and let them get on with it. The police, I am sure , would stand there and not get involved.

The guy was sat in a queue of traffic watching mobs attacking the cars in front, and was quite likely aware of the other attacks around Europe by Moroccans. I'm not sure who he he had in the car with him, so he could even have had youngsters in there. It's understandable that he tried to get out of the situation.

I just think running people over is a fairly extreme response to having your flag nicked. The sister of the dead boy posted on social media in the early hours that the driver was drunk, but as far as I can see the police are still hunting him, so I've no idea how she'd know that. TWT as Tickles would say.

It's pretty clear from any video you watch that the driver of the car has panicked after a baying mob has descended on his car. It's impossible to judge what any single one of us would've done in a similar situation but there's a fairly decent chance we'd have done the same?
The end result is the death of a 14 year old child, someone's son,it's a tragedy...But it's a tragedy that could so easily been avoided by not going out on the Streets to cause trouble.

All over a game of Football....

Unless you think the Moroccan mobs were running around trying to shake hands and congratulate the French.

Sad a 14-year-old lad died but maybe football fans who are guests in another country shouldn’t form braying mobs and attack the football fans of the country they’re guests in?
