If he's successful in the first few weeks, let's run a poll on which Prem club comes in for him,

Good luck anyway, Neil. Hope you get some cash in Jan and spend it wisely

Interesting few weeks ahead. Sounds more comfortable on the training pitch than in front of the camera, but as you say sounds like a humble guy. Lots to do - good luck NC - crack on lad!!

    Good luck
    You're going to need it

When Ibiza come in for him I'm still available
Maybe I was just too cheap and should have asked for more for my backroom team of diddles and wherever

There's only sixteen world coaches who have obtained the FIFA elite
coaching badge ... Neil Critchley is one of them, I wish him well!

This may seem ridiculously critical (thinking of slapping myself round the head with a wet fish) but could he be too nice?

I imagine in order to be a football manager, there needs to be an internal Rottweiler that can emerge as required from time to time?

He seems more Labrador than Rottweiler.

    Yuck, wet fish unpleasant!

A distinct overtone of being underwhelmed on the thread … not sure why.
    • Young manager who has come through the ranks.
    • Has developed youth players to good first team regulars.
    • Comes to us with experience as a number one already.
    • If you listen to reports he isn’t afraid to work formations that suit what he has.
Just wonder whether it’s the World Cup mixed with our poor form that has everyone on a bit of a downer. Hopefully he is given the opportunity to get settled in and the team working to his ‘principles’. We have a decent squad that probably needs lifting back up, after the snake ran off, and bring back that team spirit we had earlier in the season.

Cheer up lads. It’s nearly Christmas <bubbly>

Just as a comparison, we’ve had as many managers as we have had monarchs this season and only 1 less than the government has had Prime Minister’s, when will the uncertainty end I ask :emoticon-0103-cool:

Dunno, but the collective term for management is “a lack”.

When Sven Goran Eriksson gave a team talk at half-time in the 2002 World Cup game against Brazil, the players found it less than inspiring. Gareth Southgate is quoted as saying later, 'We needed Churchill but we got Iain Duncan Smith'.
