Haven't a clue - but I remember reading in Australia a good few years later that Stan Bowles was rumoured to have taken a bung whilst playing for QPR in the final against Leyton Orient. He scored QPR's goal in their 1-5 defeat.

That is just about it. He was the first Watford player ever to be sent off. It was on 10th December 1898 against Chesham in a southern league match. His record will stand for all time.
