Hypothetically, if the army were to go on strike. Who enforces that ban? I appreciate it’s an extremely unlikely scenario.

Very good point and I really don’t know, but maybe that would be classed as mutiny for failing to obey orders ?……but as you say very unlikely.
For me the big difference would be that I didn’t sign up to do the job, knowing I couldn’t take industrial action if I felt the need. Whereas certain others knew that was the case.
I’m lucky I guess, as I can just about afford to work for less money, doing a job that I mostly enjoy and feel proud of doing…and ultimately I can afford to leave if I have to. Sadly there are many who ain’t that lucky and rely on overtime, who have studied and accrued debt over the years, who have to stick with it.

Yes also there’s a whole bunch of accounts on social media telling the same story.. using the exact same words to express their opinions on the matter

Classic misinformation, which to be fair has been used by all sides of the political spectrum.
Sad that some fools will be hoodwinked

What makes you say it's a 'political strike'?

To be fair to Col, it probably IS political in the way that the Tories are attacking working people, attacking our pay and conditions,, pandering to big business and the elite while all the time looking after their mates in the most heinous, corrupt manner…..I would like to think that Labour, who I’m not particularly a supporter off, would never dream of doing the same.

So if fighting against the elite and their stooges in government is political…then I’ll wear that badge with honour

Then it's political action by the government, not the strikers. The Tories actively want these strikes to happen because they think their lickspittles in the scumbag media will help them turn the public against the strikers and in favour of the government. I don't think that will work. Sunak wants to be Margaret Thatcher, but he'll turn out to be Edward Heath.

Totally agree….I’d love to say that the British public wouldn’t fall for the media lies….but sadly I can’t.
Meanwhile I’ll carry on backing my union….losing pay…getting cold on the picket line…and battling my conscience.
    It’s all I’ve got left

I didn't say I supported this government in any way and actually said that I agreed with your sentiments, especially concerning NHS workers.
I asked about it maybe being a political strike for some as you stated that people have had enough of the "elite", which presumably, could include workers who aren't struggling badly financially, but who want to support their fellow workers and unions in laying ****s into the Tories.
I suspect there is some of this happening, alongside the legitimate claims for better pay and conditions etc.
I also think that the unions will have to compromise a little, with the economy in the shape it's in and before they lose public support, many of whom are also struggling, but are unable to strike for many different reasons.

If you look deeper into disputes such as the Railworkers and Postal workers….it’s absolutely clear who is willing to compromise and who wants to dictate.

You just need to look who suddenly become the enemy… especially in the last 3 years or so, if you stand back and look at the long list, it’s frightening how easy it appears to be.

The enemy is anyone who dares to question why the elite are ripping us off and getting richer.
Don’t you know that by now ?
Teachers, GPS, Nurses, Postal Workers, Barristers, Lecturer’s, Ambulance staff, cleaners, delivery drivers….we are all greedy scum ?
While ****s like Mone get richer and richer and richer.

National Trust, England football team, RLNI, all used nicely as well.

I think the moment where I totally lost hope was when the nurses, etc got dog **** abuse for doing dances/skits on whatever social media da yoof is using these days. How dare they try and lift their spirits in whatever they can get for a break!!! What bastards how dare these people even have a break.

I was wondering how long it would take for supporters of the multi-millionaire, sociopath Meghan to crawl from the woodwork <laugh>
