I dont read the Express but I have worked in Local Government and Network Rail and all these types of organisations have the same basic structure and the more money they seek from Central Government the more they have to justify it, and they justify it by layers of middle management proving the money is needed so I am speaking from experience of how these things work When the NHS were putting me back together and saving my life the hospitals were run by the Medical Staff now they are run by trusts who have to employ middle management to prove they are doing their job, and it is the same with every organisation that is funded or partly funded by the Government, NHS we need more funding, Goverment prove it, so to prove it they hire people to produce the data to prove they need the funding and because they have spent the money on providing the data they need even more to pay for the services they required the additional funding for in the first place. It is a never ending spiral that appears to be unstoppable
Just trying to educate the uneducated who get all their critical information from the Daily Mirror or Private Eye
Ok Sucky I did not make a claim I said "I guess" If it was the opposite then that would still be !0% that would;d not be available spend on the wages for nurses etc which was the whole point of my comment
It just happens to be a guess based on absolutely nothing that reflects the nonsense spouted by the right wing press. And that’s ok.
Stamps with barcodes on, wtf is all that about. My post better get delivered @Archers Road - don't want non of this striking bolloxs. please log in to view this image
Royal Mail is ****ed mate, another Great British public service sacrificed on the altar of short term profit. Gas, electricity, the water boards, Royal Mail, the NHS - ours is the generation that sold the farm and left our grandchildren to pick up the pieces of a failed state. I’m on the Railway now mate btw, not the Post. That’s ****ed too, all the profits go to foreign investors while the staff get stagnant wages and the passengers get rinsed; thanks for asking.
I remembered you were on the railways now mate, I just knew you would enlighten me and entertain me for a few minutes. Actually got a decent postie round my way, the only delivery guy I don't mind taking parcels in from for others. 90p for a stamp though ffs....use to pay 3p for them. Edit: although bought a book of stamps.
Not that I’m aware of. The recently announced Network Rail’s strike is from 6.00pm on the 24th-6.00am on 27th.
Anyone planning on using trains to go away should do it before 6pm on Christmas Eve, as the railways are on holiday strike after that time. Nice long weekend of festive celebrations of being outside holding banners.
And not getting paid. I’m going to lose 4 days pay this month and four days next. The shareholders will be alright though, the government is protecting their interests - using taxpayers money.
