Need to play deep so Mbappe can’t run at us and try and hit them on the break or take advantage of set pieces.

Yeah he got up and down but not that physical presence of a Robson or the way Bellingham is shaping up.

Anyway to repeat, Bellingham is looking like he could be better and a more complete midfielder for England than Lampard was and anyone else since Robson.

Just seen that on the news, my first thought was it looks like the Renta crowd got another job. Stereotypical it may be but those England fans didn't look right.

Isn't it just the hotel staff, under gentle encouragement?

A really good performance, a bit nervy early on, but once their initial burst of energy dropped, we controlled the game. 3 excellent goals, the nice thing about this side, is that there are goals from a number of different players. any side they face, don't have a couple of players to watch but several.

Man for man I think we are better than France, Mbappe though is outstanding, and I can see us doubling up on him, probably Rice with Walker, leaving Stones and Maguire to deal with Giroud and Griezmann.

Whatever happens should be a good game.

I thought Kane was outstanding throughout. Early in the first half he put over 2 fantastic crosses that Saka with some more bravery could have esily stuck in the back of the net. When he got the pass from Foden for the 2 nd goal the outcome was never in doubt. Well played Harry.,

It does worry me that Sarr went past Walker with ease from a speed perspective. I thought he had pace.

Yep, I think we may have our leader on the pitch.

We're going to do it this time.

Give it a bloody good go. Don’t shackle the young uns and take away what they are naturally which is attacking players. Make France think about us. If the tactics of the biggest game falls through again then yes new ideas required.

Southgate’s boring England side have scored more goals in this World Cup alone than we did in the 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 world cups combined.

    Appalling stat.

Declan Rice is ill and hasn't trained and Callum Wilson is still missing after picking up a knock.
