Picking up on the 16% increase in rents, the budget put a 7% cap on rental increases for properties owned by Councils and Social Housing groups.
I don’t recall seeing seeing a similar cap being placed on privately rented properties which, given the rise in interest rates and the impact they will have on buy to let landlords, could lead to a lot of people being made homeless, if their rent is increased too much. Especially as the government has refused to end “no fault eviction” which allows landlords to kick people out on a whim.

On a separate point, Kay Burley recently interviewed Robert Jenrick, and during the interview he boasted about appointing a regulator to oversee the standard of council/social housing. Jenrick admitted, during this interview, that council/social housing is generally in better repair than some privately rented accommodation.
Did Burley ask him why, if that was the case, he hadn’t appointed a regulator to oversee the condition of privately rented property? Or why he and his party voted against making ALL rented properties habitable?

The attachment is a report on private rental property, and just reading the first part gives a clear impression that not enough is being done. I haven’t looked at the downloads.

With regards to regulating private rental property, the report indicates that the responsibility has been put on local council but also points out that local council isn’t equipped to carry out the role in great detail.

I don't think that anything I've said on a football forum has influenced a madman in Colorado Springs. It is possible I suppose but until the motive has been announced, unlike you I won't be jumping to conclusions. One thing we do know though is that he identifies as non binary, doesn't that make him part of the LGBT+ community? Bit awkward.

And no, I don't think anything you said on this forum influenced the shooter. You're irrelevant, as I am. But the people you keep quoting, and the arguments they make? They probably influenced a mass murder. Wouldn't be the first time...the manifestos of multiple mass killers directly referenced far right figures.

I don't mean to be funny but neither of those things stated in that tweet prove the individual didn't identify as non-binary. Especially the mother thing. I have non-binary friends and am pretty sure the family of at least one would not use their preferred pronouns (they no longer speak).

For the records - i would expect it is much harder in some states than others to change the pronouns on those

Drag artists are adult entertainers and many have criminal records, they should be nowhere near young children and if that is not grounded in reality enough for you, then maybe you should think about your values.
