I am not the one misinterpreting. It was asked where all the ones who had directed abuse at England players and thrown bananas at England players had gone. I said I had not seen any bananas thrown at England players Someone said it happened at Euro2020. Now you are on about what happened online. That is not relevant. No bananas were thrown at England players by England fans. Neither were they racially abused at Euro2020. At Euro 2020 means just that at it, that is at the games.
I can’t be held responsible for giving you twopennorth without knowing what the discussion was originally about and going off onto something completely different. People being found guilty of online abuse weren’t at games racially abusing players and throwing bananas at them as allegedly happened but didn’t.
'Not relevant' in your world of narrow interpretations perhaps. But neither I or Lambo suggested bananas were thrown. That was o/p. I suggested he 'may' (sic) be referring to the racial abuse following the final as that did actually happen. Apologies if that triggered you.
I was waiting for someone online to criticise his celebration and accusing him of showboating without knowing the reason. Good on him. He has made a young lad’s day to add to his experience when he met his idol.
My world is wider than your straight line thinking. Why not just agree there was no racial abuse or bananas thrown at Euro 2020 so the original poster was wrong but there was online abuse instead of going off on a tangent? Sorry for my wanting accuracy. You could work for the gutter press giving totally inaccurate and incorrect slants on it.
There was racial abuse following the final at Euro 2020 as was widely reported and directed at the black players who missed penalties via social media. There were no bananas reported thrown at games or widespread/audible monkey chants that I am aware of as was implicit in my reply to the O/P - but there was clearly racial abuse.

... Or getting mixed up between something that actually did and was just as ugly, but yes that's a possibility as was made fairly obvious by my speculative tone and use of the word 'MAY'.
And fair play to Callum Wilson for playing him in when, at 5-1 up, he could have had a go himself.
