I know a lot of you are boycotting this thing (fair play, but it's a bit late to make any difference), but here's a question - which nation would you like to win it if not your own?
Argentina (Messi) for me.

FIFA now saying that captains wearing the one love armband will get booked, while for years their rule book has said ‘political’ statements get the national association a fine.
Obviously the armband is a simply a gesture. These ****s in FIFA have now made it quite a powerful one.
Clever thing to do would be to make the third reserve goalkeeper the captain, so we don’t get saintly Harry Kane suspended after the second game.*I hope they go ahead and take the bookings. It would show FIFA up for the ****s they are.

*If we are simply making a gesture. From what he and other members of the squad have said I don’t think they will take this cop out.
European FAs decide to advise captains not to wear the armband. Well worded statement to be fair.
My 3rd choice keeper option still live.

It's already done its job anyway. FIFA have given much more publicity to the gesture and made themselves even more ridiculous in the process. Win, win.I would love the 3rd choice keeper to take a stand...after all it just takes one sub out of the equation.
Or if a team who is already out in their third match all wore arm bands but cannot see the Qatar team doing that!
But I can see some undershirt slogans appearing though.
What are they going to do if the Iranian team do something in support of their women protesters this afternoon by mimicing hair cutting .
Absolutely nothing I am sure (what will happen to the players when they get back is a different matter)
FIFA have lost all credibility in this..
U turn on beer
U turn on the fine/suspension for wearing an armband
They have obviously been tutored by the UK prime ministers
