Mind you that just under half of what the same stuff costs at CCS
Far cry from 5 pints of Dark with a few pennies change from a quid!!
Couldn't find a table going back any further than 1987 but this might help you all cry into your beer

Theakstons from the barrel at The Plough and Harrow down your neck of the woods back in the day.Draught Abbot in Wetherspoons about £2.50 a pint.
Stronger than Dark as well.
I prefer bottled or even better Theakston Old Peculier but very few pubs sell bottled beer - as opposed to lager. I get told there is no demand.
If they don't stock it no one will ask for it.
Still reckon Brains Dark was my fave though. The Hope on North Road probably served the best kept pint in Cardiff.
In uni I recall having 4 pints of Tartan for 50p in our student house and 14p a pint in the Union Bar!! And that was in London.
Excellent. We've moved on from the main course to the sweet.Aye, but that was before the blitz...........
