This may have been mentioned but do we have anyone going? Or have injuries ruined this?

I love hearing Hull City mentioned in international competitions and I always have a cheeky bet on our players scoring!

Elder missed out. He got in their squad last year but then got injured and hasn't got back in again since. His injuries and Fleming's form last season have cost him it seems.

Allahyar and Tetteh both would've gone if fit, while Sinik and Pelkas would've gone if Turkey/Greece had qualified.

even though it's a farce of a world cup
anyone doing a forum sweepstake thingy?

I'm not even going to watch the games out of respect for those poor buggers who died building everything.
I'll look for England's scores on here and that's it.

It should never have been given to Qatar.
I'd have loved it if England (and other countries) had pulled out.
It's shocking what has gone on, not least with some of the workers.
BUT, it's happening, our views and actions (like not watching) will count for absolutely nothing, so to my mind there's no point in cutting off our noses to spite our faces. Might as well watch and enjoy (hopefully) the football, whilst still holding our views that it should never have been in Qatar.
Each to their own though.

Their treatment of LGBT people is also appalling.

Matt Smith, Dan James (big up the South Cave massive at the WC) for Wales.

Grosicki is going for Poland.

Jackson Irvine for Australia.

Just for Amin Yapusi, Cameroon have a player going called Wooh.

My player to watch at the tournament - Fabian Rieder of Switzerland.
Any particular reason for the Swiss player ST, Is he incoming?

Can’t remember a World Cup I’ve been less interested in

I fully agree, I cannot muster any enthusiasm for this tournament, the WC should never have been given to this country, which has no respect for human rights. I am more interested to see how Liam gets on in Turkey and in his time with our players.

This.

Given that an official World Cup ambassador has recently declared that homosexuality is a damage of the mind, for ****s sake, then claiming all are welcome is an obvious lie.

This World Cup should never have been awarded to Qater, should have been moved on numerous occasions over the past 10 years and is shaping up to be somewhat of a damp squib.

Hopefully it'll pass fairly quickly then we can all get back to having our hopes and dreams crushed by the concept which is playing out from the back.
