First trip back to Hull since losing my grandad just under a fortnight ago. Going to be very strange not popping in to see him before the game. Long time since he was a regular and even since he went to a game but he always looked out for the results ready to discuss with me.

I'm sure I won't be the only one thinking of a grandparent tomorrow and hopefully the lads can do my grandad and Liam's nan proud.
Sure he'd have been chuckling away at the typical City ness of that! Loved it when we won but never took defeats to heart. Always knew there was more to life

Round pegs in square holes until personal are back on the pitch

We've only got 2 natural wingers on the books which always seemed a little odd when the expectation was to play with them.

We then when and brought Vale in to play on the right, if you believe articles read at the time and he's not a winger either

Sinik must be training poorly to not get a start. He looks creative in his cameos. Either that or Rosenior didn't want to rock the boat too much before the WC break

I wonder if it's more about the speed in which certain players are taking on instructions. This break is a good thing for us.

He certainly wasn't the worst player or anywhere close.

I just thought we looked very leggy.

We didn't deserve to lose today and the over reaction on here as always is insane.

I think we need Tetteh back above everyone else.

The rest of the issues aren't anything new. We need someone to partner Seri and a centre half or 2.
Tetteh would be perfect in our lone striker role right now. His touch and link up would really let players like Pelkas and Sinik thrive

Grant had less points then now and if we axed the ghosts of grant we’d be far better off convinced of it. Touch vision and decision making slow and ****e.
You keep talking about 'grants men' but who are you talking about? I've said coyle is pony and needs to play in league 2 at best, who else are you referring to?

Greaves? Jones? Doc? Pretty much rest of the team and bench today were signed by Acun weren't they? Longman and Baxter might have played under Grant but Acun signed them permanently.

Apparently criticising this team/ownership means you deserve Grant and Allam… funny Grant was doing better with a much “worse” squad.

Just got back, eaten &. Bottle of Red opened.
Right, the game.
We dominated possession, scored the first goal, unfortunately possession was mostly in our half, every time we got over the halfway line, any striker that had been passed by, was back in their own half blocking up space because we were too slow to play a ball forward, even when we did, it was either cut out or a blocked shot. I don’t think I’ve seen a game where the 2 keepers never had a hard shot to save. All our shots were soft scuffs into the keeper’s arms & the same with theirs.
When we got the first goal, I thought this was going to be a massacre, but when the keeper ran into his player, we didn’t finish it, that was the difference, 2-0, they have to have a go, but 1-0 & set pieces can go in, as they did.
The passing was nice to see, but it was so slow & when we got into wide areas, there was no one who had the ability to finish. Slater should have at least attempted to hit the ball with his left foot after the their collision, instead the chance was gone.
On the left in the second half, everyone had to get it onto their right foot & go back inside, instead of being able to cross it in with their left.
Finally. what the hell is Longman doing there facing his own goal? Of all the players to be in that position, you don’t want an attacker, also players on the posts, I seems the latest craze not to have them there, is it a coincidence that both their goals would have been cleared if we’d had someone there?
I’m sure there’s more for me to rant about, but I’m tired now.

Well another home game, another defeat, it's a shocking record this season. We deserved a draw but for an home team didn't create enough good opportunities. At times played some decent football but didn't work their keeper enough. Going forward we can only hope they work on weaknesses over the coming month, get some forward competition back and be much better results wise at home from December onwards.
