So the twat previously gets a suspended sentence for purposely blocking an Ambulance that was blue lighting, whilst a 72 Yr old fron Stoke gets 6 months jail time, for serving mince pies and mulled wine during Lockdown, ok, sounds like he was a bit of a nob but come on.
is that real cos i don't remember there being custodial sentences for breaching covid regulations
ah from the bit you put i assumed it was his house rather than he was running a business which was breaching the rules regularly and he then tried to destroy the cctv evidence

it will probably have been the obstructing the Police which will have been the tipping point and like refs it depends which magistrate / judge you get landed with .
There is that. The inconsistencies are ridiculous though.
A fella who recently moved not far from us just got done for the third time for beating up girlfriends, moves around a lot by all accounts, not done a day inside, then people wonder why the girls involved don't want to go through the courts with it. Third girl they know of, must be others that haven't reported it. Apparently the judge took pity on him this time as he'd received threats from the girls relatives and he said he was in fear for his life.
Good, I hope they beat the **** out of him.
How would anyone expect the family to react ffs? The judge should realise it's only natural and it should have zero influence on sentencing.
I'd go full fcking Sonny Corleone on the ****.
Apparently there wasn't evidence of any threats either, judge just seemed to take his word for it.

if i was the Judge he would have got extra time on his sentence on the grounds of "to keep him safe "
A couple of years ago, a good friend of mine, his niece committed suicide because of domestic abuse, no one knew, she was too embarrassed to tell anyone, went home from her uncles wedding and killed herself, left a note explaining why, 20 years old. Now that twat will get his just desserts.
