It is the same yeah, he’ll have overseen everything to do with football, whilst also managing the first team
Just for the record, if anyone saw that I ‘liked’ this post, it was by accident and I apologise unreservedly.

He was described as a football development manager at Hull University. Is that the same as being a coach, the title of his position at Leeds University?
He was in charge of all things football related at hull uni hench the title. Which included the coaching of the men's 1st team
didn't fancy going to sweden with him?

Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the faceI listened to Liam's press conference and was very impressed not only with what he had to say but how he said it.
Football managers can waffle on for ages and occasionally make a good point. Liam was short and concise in his answers but it felt like he got to core of the question and answered it well.
It will be night and day when comparing Shota and how he tried to get his message over. Not just a language barrier, but a quiet monotone voice that could put me to sleep.
He seems very clear in how he wants to set us up on and off the pitch. He has a very good reputation as a coach and has a solid if not spectacular CV so far.
I thought Martins appointment would have been a huge statement with his much higher quality experience and achievements in the game compared to Shota.
I feel Liam's appointment is as big a statement and shift from Shota but much more to do with his approach as opposed to extensive CV.
Either way, it is still very exciting and could be a master stroke. We just need to give him plenty of time.
