A musical one - which was the first British musical group to cross the wall and play in East Berlin whilst it was still the GDR ? Several others had played outdoor events on the Western side of the wall so that they could hear it in the GDR - but this band went all the way and were the first to do so.
Not quite BB - they played in East Berlin in the same year but a bit later. The concert I am thinking of was also an open air concert (with 80,000 present). Also simultaneously the first Western band to play open air behind the wall.

Nope sorry Yorkie - the first British band to play an outdoor concert there. Die Toten Hosen are from Düsseldorf.
The band originally came from just over the hills from you Yorkie ! Although one of them now lives in Tauberbischofsheim (Baden Würtemburg).
All yours BB. They appeared in Treptower Park in East Berlin (an anniversary of the founding of the city) in July 1987 - a month before Bob Dylan appeared at the same venue. Over to you.
Did the BJH gig end up as a live album "A Concert for the People"? Decent album.
