They don’t get paid for that. Sheesh. Teachers get paid for doing 32.5 hours a week for 39 weeks plus 4 weeks holiday
No they are not anymore. They used to be when it was based in final salary but now it’s average salary based
That’s a load of rubbish mate. They get paid for the full year like everyone else. Your on another planet if you think otherwise.
Or perhaps he works for a real school, rather than a college.......and he's a teacher rather than a professor
No. You are wrong. Just because the wage is paid over 12 months I can assure you that teachers are paid for 32.5 hours a week 39 wire plus 4 weeks holiday
Your obviously not from a commercial world buddy. The pensions are ridiculous compared to the normal world. Teachers are paid fantastic compared to most professions. I can tell you. It’s why I got myself into the education sector in the first place. Teachers honestly don’t know how lucky they are.
I have a private pension and a teachers pension. Yes I will end up more from the teachers pension but then I pay more in to it.
Sorry mate. Your wrong. Teachers are well paid compared to most professions. I can prove it if you like.
I can categorically prove you wrong. Teachers are well paid. You rarely see teachers dropping out of eduction to a commercial world because the holidays pay and pension are far superior.
None of them round here are. It's a canny wage but it's not what I would consider higher paid than a lot of jobs. Aye it will beat civil service etc but they're paid **** n all.
I’ve worked in both worlds. The teaching world is the most secure you can work in. It’s very VERY stable.
Compared to average salaries they are paid well. Pensioned well. And holidays are great. Sick pay for 6 months full pay. Women get really good maternity pay. Honestly.
I moved into the education sector purely for the pension. It’s absolutely the best you can get in the most part.
Very stable but not really well paid mate. FFS You work in it and you work 50 hours a week. What does that tell you?
