If you do get Top 4 and that meant keeping Eddie Howe long term would you be happy? I saw his appointment on par with Hughes taking over at Man City (although he was there before the new owners took over iirc).
Howe is twice the manager that grey old nonce ever was.
Top ten was my goal, decent cup run and no threat of relegation, I can safely say the latter is looking good, cup game find out in about 10 days and as for top 4 doubt it, the backbone of the team could be going to the WC ie Schar, Trippier, Pope, Wilson (maybe), Bruno, Joelinton(maybe) , Botman (maybe), how many will come back fit or not shattered? As for the Hughes/Howe comparison, don't think it's the same, I'd certainly have him long term, he's got players since Benitez 's time playing out of their skins weekly in Schar, Longstaff, Almiron, Murphy, Joelinton and even Shelvey last season! He' s a good fit and the 3 big signings Izak, Botman and Bruno (I never heard of any of them before) are working out whether he has a hand in that I don't know but someone knows what they are doing.
