Assuming this is faithful reporting from DH (and I have high regard for DH's posts, so I'm sure it is), the last two bullet points are disgusting. Presumably the club have decided to take this policy towards the fans and local media from on high (i.e. Webber). He has turned from being a great asset to being a huge weight dragging us down. For the good of the club, he really needs to go.

The media blackout seems particularly vindictive given the way the club have applied it to stay within EFL rules.

To my understanding, the EFL won't let clubs pick and choose who gets access, they have to be treated equally. So in order to shut out the EDP/Archant as a response to their headline that was deemed unfair, The Athletic and everyone else have diminished access as well. Seems podcasts, blogs, etc have been hit by that too. I haven't seen anyone "official" pop up with TalkNorwichCity, MyFootballWriter, AlongComeNorwich, etc for ages.

Looks like the group arranging flags at the ground have stopped due to a lack of support from both the club and fellow fans: https://www.alongcomenorwich.com/articles/whats-going-on-with-the-flags-buh/

The new code of conduct they brought in asking for fans to snitch on each other if someone near you is swearing or appearing to be under the influence was pretty disrespectful and patronising, we are probably amongst the most civil friendly fans going.

That stupid banning the drummer then appointing their own guy on top of scaffolding was embarrassing and another own goal.

The pathetic wall of hate video where players discussed hurty words was also cringe .

The Ukraine and rainbow flags above the ground is unnecessary, also the multimillion pound refit to eradicate cash anywhere in the ground pissed me off.

The massive photo of Sara on the side of Carrow Road before he's achieved anything is also embarrassing.

Delia Webber and the American baseball guy seem to have forgotten that we are the club , we were there before them and we'll be there long after they are gone .

Getting told off for booing poor performances and not happy clapping loud enough is an excuse for the players to not bother is also insulting.

Dean Smith has never struck up any sort of rapport with the fans either .

I think the club preferred it during lockdown playing in an empty ground the fans are just a noisey unsightly uncouth destraction.

My friend is a season ticket holder and offered his and his grandads seats to me as he would rather do overtime than watch that garbage but I don't want to inflict that on my daughter.

On a lighter note, for those who remember Fawlty Towers and the episode The Builders where Polly blames Basil for the botched reconstruction work.

FANS: Oh, it's our fault, is it? Yes, we see now. There we were thinking it was Delia's fault because she owns the club, or Webber's fault because of his terrible recruitment, or Smith's fault because he can't get a tune out of these players, and all the time it was our fault. Well, we must be punished then, mustn't we? (Slap their own butts). You're a naughty fanbase, Canaries! Don't do it again!

But clearly the question was designed to take a step towards establishing what individuals are paid.

If it hadn't been for Delia there may well not be a club now, let alone in the future.

Yes that's true but she's clearly getting on and taking a back seat to the running of the club , which is fast becoming just another corporate soulless franchise disconnected from the fans.

We are currently running at a loss even with the Sky money and parachute payments.

We got new super bright lights though

Fair enough - but don't feel obliged to wait a whole year before you make a start <doh>

Interestingly this statement suggests that he doesn't feel that he has improved it yet, What has he been doing then ?

Swansea City head coach Russell Martin has started talks about a new contract.

Martin, who has led Swansea to fourth place in the Championship, was appointed in August last year and his current deal expires in 2024.

He has been linked to former club Norwich City, whose manager Dean Smith is under pressure, but Martin is not interested in leaving the Swans.

"We're really happy here and I hope we're here for a long time, and I mean that," he said.

Interesting that nobody makes any attempt to ask why it is taking DS so long? Presumably you all know the answer?

People complain that they don't understand what he is trying to do, but they don't make much effort to understand. Gozo couldn't even be bothered to look into the context of DS's comment about getting the players to come up with a game plan; he just grabbed the chance to use an out-of-context quote to further his anti-Smith agenda.

Why it's taken Smith so long to build a cohesive formation with players that fulfill his gameplan ?

Probably because he spent £300m at Villa and still only scraped through in the play offs , survived 1 season because he had decent players then got fired

So " we " should persevere with him because it's not his fault we can't breech FFP like Villa did despite being the most expensive squad in the Championship ?

Smith has no chance with our current squad ?

He needs more time & way more money ?
