I’d love it, love it if we beat Blackburn, I just don’t see it. I think they’re a definite step up from the teams we’ve played recently, but it will definitely give us an indication of how far we’ve come under Daws.
Should we keep him in charge, long term? Tough one, a win tomorrow & it’ll be Ferdinand talking about Solskjaer mode from our fans, a heavy defeat & it’ll be, he’s just another Shota.
I think Longman definitely deserves his start, along with the rest, they’ve had a week to train & work on anything Blackburn can throw at us. A draw wouldn’t be a bad result, a small loss wouldn’t be great but would show progress. Overall, for me, it’s the performance that matters, I do expect us to lose, but hopefully it’s a decent attempt, not like the previous games where there’s been a promotion to get people in.

* If we win tomorrow I'd give Dawson the job for life! :emoticon-0100-smile

Neutral should have at least 4, 3 wins & a draw after 90 minutes. Basically the only time I can say that we’re unbeaten in 90 minutes every time we’ve played at Wembley.

Playoff and cup games aren't included in that table. If you include those it looks a bit better, but still pretty horrible.

You would think the same 11 given they havent had a midweek game.

i still dont think they are our strongest starting 11 but no need to change a winning team

Unlike many previous games, we can go into this one with a bit more optimism. Still early days, but whether we win or not, the performance will be probably more important. However, 3 points would really push us on, and important to get a home win.

I can't see any reason to change things, same starting eleven, as there is a good balance to the team.

Just needed to tighten up at the back, but I guess this more forward style is likely to leave occasionally exposed at the back.

Anyhow looking forward to it, and my Burnley friend has messaged me to say he hopes we stuff them.

I don't understand why Oscar got changed for longman...some of the other lazy bastards I get, but surely Oscar should be in.
