Not much, except getting triggered by some dinosaur suggesting that anyone who doesn't think that everything is awesome must be inherently bitter and twisted.

Are you as daft as some of your comments suggest?

Says the guy who continuously makes ridiculous assumptions. You have absolutely no idea what I do, or have done.

Carbon emissions.

  1. China, with more than 10,065 million tons of CO2 released.
  2. United States, with 5,416 million tons of CO2
  3. India, with 2,654 million tons of CO2
  4. Russia, with 1,711 million tons of CO2
  5. Japan, 1,162 million tons of CO2
  6. Germany, 759 million tons of CO2
  7. Iran, 720 million tons of CO2
  8. South Korea, 659 million tons of CO2
  9. Saudi Arabia, 621 million tons of CO2
  10. Indonesia, 615 million tons of CO We have reduced ours to 311 million tons. Yet the Stop oil mob and the other eco zealots say are the ones responsible for genocide by extracting some more oil and gas to stop the country grinding to a halt.

So beginning to extract oil that won't be useable until after we are supposed to have hit net zero isn't ridiculous then?

As a gesture towards saving the planet l am going to stay at home and not travel to Rotherham. Then again, **** it. We're going in our kids BMW and enjoying a lads day out with **** loads of ale and an Indian afterwards. I promise not to fart too much just to keep my own emissions down to an acceptable level.

The experts advised Gordon Brown to put a stop to any new nuclear power stations told him they wouldn’t come on stream until 2020 and wouldn’t be needed then.
How many of the countries in that list will be hitting net zero? And when? When we hit it will be building an air conditioned dome over the UK to keep all their pollution away from us?

You selfish person. You will be responsible for genocide around the world. Couldn’t you have walked or cycled?<laugh>
Have a good day.

Because they know full well absolutely sod all will happen to them in this country and spraying paint, spilling milk, ruining normal citizens days, holding up traffic that causes the death of innocent people etc doesn't take balls when the punishment is a joke, if any punishment at all..... They wouldn't dare do it in China etc because they'd be dealt with instantly and would be behind bars for a long time if they are lucky

Talking of unlawful, but on a MUCH grander scale...

Client Earth as well as Friends of the Earth do a lot of excellent work, without having to cause damage and disruption to people.

I'm sure they do some brilliant work but most on here will be more familiar with the likes of Greenpeace and Extinction Rebellion.
Both are advocates of change on a revolutionary scale, and a purely passive approach has no historical precedent.

To respond to that fully would fall foul of the no politics rule on here.

Client Earth's tactics are far from 'passive' as they aggressively use the system against itself by holding them up to the light of their own declared standards, and they've had very good success in the past.

The fact that any behavioural scientist worth a light could go through the number of separate reasons why Extinction Rebellion in particular, and Greenpeace's methods are poor ways of changing behaviours, is actually quite revealing of the non-scientific basis of those groups.

A fair test of someone trying to change the world could be if they've managed to change their own house. Roger Hallam, the mouth behind ER and insulate Britain lives in a farmhouse that has been zero rated for insulation and energy efficiency (ie, it has no insulation), and has at least six raggedy diesels parked there at various times, none of which would pass the London LEZ standard.
