The point is we don’t have enough of them, hospitals can’t release patients into care homes because care homes can’t get staff, this in turn tied up hospital beds. The population is getting older, the situation is only going to get worse.I agree, but at the same time, that's their chosen path.. harsh but reality.......(I'm not saying they shouldn't have a decent wage btw)...maybe if the lazy side of society got off their arse and contributed to the system, the problem would be less of an issue..
Society needs all sorts, not just entrepreneurs, and unless we value (pay) people appropriately society doesn’t function properly. I hoped one good thing that may have come out of COVID, (remember we clapped the frontline workers) would have been the realisation of how reliant we are on them. What short memories we have. Just to say “it’s their chosen path” is actually very selfish.
