He is not the only one with an opinion stated over and over though mate. And yesterday I dont think he posted until someone prodded him on it. Others argue saying we do ok without a striker regularly. I argued Diallo isnt up to it a lot. I have read others constantly digging out Dan Neil. I dont mind any of this really, it is just people sharing opinions and all are valid. I think some wait for prehab so they can jump all over his opinion, personally. Then to suggest he isnt a Sunderland fan, in my opinion, is uncalled for.
Can I have one rant - what were those bloody short corners. Thought the one in the second half (at the start) was the sloppy contributor to them going forward to score the first. Think I may have ranted already on this - sorry Overall - great first half (2-0) was unexpected to be fair - second half outclassed (still didn't think we would lose 4-2 mind)
Hope so mate. Have to be totally honest I am starting to look at the bottom of the table as opposed the top a few weeks back. Needs to be a swift flip in results. This league really is a beast and it's unforgiving. Positive starts can evaporate extremely quickly.
We lost. We lost to a good team who were 2 leagues above us last season. Yes it wasnt pretty and yes whether we need another 1 or 2 forwards we havent got them. The manager is getting it in the neck. We are arguing amongst ourselves on here. F*ck it lets all meet up in the fan zone at the next home and have a massive fight like proper blokes. Then we can shake hands and walk away. PS if we all wear Sunderland tops we will know who we can hit.
Our manager was poor yday. First time he has been widely criticized I think. Impressed with Kompany. Very astute.
Aye I thought that too. Black jacket was out when he read the riot act at half time. Some response from his players. Clearly demands high expectations.
I am up for that mate, but only if it is a pillow fight. I reckon I am a bit old and knackered these days
That's how I feel these days too. Back always is goosed the day after the match. The seats don't agree with me !
Vincent Kompany: "I hated everything about the first half, how we turned up, our intensity, our challenges. Everything starts with that. You can have had a bad day but the basics weren't there. The second half was everything I love, we were relentless. "At half time you don't need to mess about [with your team talk] when your basics go like that. I can move as many magnets on a tactics board as I like, it's pointless if you don't do the basics right. I could have changed anyone at half-time today, I just wanted to get Benny on the pitch. I can go through the entire team, the second half they were different players. To be fair to the lads, we haven't really been in this situation before today - we've learned about each other. “In all fairness, Sunderland did fantastic, they had a lot of injuries, "They are going through a period where they have had to find solutions to difficult problems and they did ever so well. I think whatever the manager said before the game, I think it worked out much better than what we said and what we did. The point is that it was a tough game for us. "I wasn't disappointed with the positions we were getting in during the first half, we just couldn't beat our direct opponent. Second half we did that. There are lessons for us: never give up and in the Championship, if you drop your levels you are bang average, simple as that. "We had a large away support today and in that second half we had to get them going, you could feel it turn straight away. To be fair as well, I think Sunderland are dealing with a lot of personnel issues and I think when you are dealing with that, it's a lot harder to hold onto stuff as well. Our team did really well to push on."
