Re JG.... in truth he'd been poor of late... BUT... his confidence must be sky high and I'm sure he'll be taking the mick out of his bestie at keeping him out of the starting 11..
He played like **** at centre half for 2 months. He’s obviously improved but the criticism was justified. He’s played two games at left back and looks a different player, so hopefully it can continue once he returns to his natural position.
Seriously, put more thought into what you say, abysmal post.
Longman was v good today, won more headers from long balls in 90 mins than eaves and Magennis combined in the whole of last season, hold up play is fantastic allowing us to get it forward quickly and ran the channels off the ball superbly, really good lone strikers performance. And he rated Tufan low on the scale while giving Longman a 9. Yes Ryan ook his goal calmly and astutely whiles others would have clobbered it and missed all credit to the lad but other than that and work rate what else did he contribute. Disclaimer I was watching on my IPhone so difficult to discern all the subtleties of the game and I pose a genuine ? re Ryan and am not knocking him.
There's not a player who has played this season who hasn't been **** at some point or another, but that's not an accusation that can be levied at anyone who's played these past 2 games.Re JG.... in truth he'd been poor of late... Surely the comparison is with Phelan caretaking after Bruce left and he got manager of the month after we beat Leicester on opening day?I think Dawson’s proved the point that
It’s starting to sound like when Man Utd were having Ole in charge & Ferdinand came out with his, “give him a cheque & let him write his numbers on it,” speech.
But we’re getting more time on the ball precisely because of the formation we’re playing and pairing Seri and Woods. It gives the pair of them the option to pass to each other, and gives the defence more options for playing out from the back - with less chance of Seri getting isolated and caught in possession. They provide a great pivot, and both have the ability to produce defence-splitting passes which the opposition have to guard against. That creates the extra time on the ball.Today showed we excel when given lots of time on the ball. Seri and Woods were in their element. However, we struggle when we don’t have as much as the ball in games against possession-based teams like Swansea or QPR or Sheffield United and that’s where our weaknesses are.
Today and arguably Wednesday were the first two games this season we dominated for most, if not all, of the 90 minutes. Even our earlier wins against Norwich, Bristol City, Coventry etc. we didn’t necessarily look the better team by much. Today we coasted.
Can’t be too many keepers who concede four goals and get their club MOTM.I'd be in for that keeper in January. I think he's very, very good.

Not just aimed at the board, all the boo boys that sit round me. The knee jerkers. I’m not disputing he has been relatively poor for two months, like the rest of the team. But some of the criticism he has gathered on here and in the stadium is from those with very short memories.
The thing is with Phelan, it was pretty much a given he’d get the job after Bruce left because Ehab had no clue. With Daws, it’s a bit of both Ole & Phelan.Surely the comparison is with Phelan caretaking after Bruce left and he got manager of the month after we beat Leicester on opening day?
But he didn’t have a midfield like this in front of him either to be fair.He played like **** at centre half for 2 months. He’s obviously improved but the criticism was justified. Its not even just him. Longman, Seri, Tufan, Fig, Ingram all have had turns of been slated and written off during a period the whole team was struggling. Really pleased for Longman in the last couple of games because he is a good player and always tries regardless of wether we are off it or not, but the idea that the same folk abusing him recently are cheering and lauding him at the moment annoys me so much because I know they wont learn.
