Winning these type of games is the key, Wigan must have felt hard done by but 3 points are all that matters. Building momentum and if we'd been offered 30 points from 16 games at the start of the season we'd have bitten hand and arm off. I'll wake up soon...
Yeah, it does feel like a dream considering the nightmares we've been through, esp. with that Chelsea geezer that had something to do with Formula One and his buddy from the bootiful Mediterranean region. I reckon Italy is a sublimely beautiful country, but signores like him, I'd prefer they stay well away from our club. Having said that, we are QPR, and so as much as I hate to say this, watch out for the downhill on this rollercoaster ride. I'm hoping it will be a wee dip and we'll climb surely and stay up. If we get to 23 games and are still top or thereabouts then I think we'll be right for the charge at the promotion spots. Let's get behind the players, and manager, at every chance. I'm sure the positive vibes will give them a huge lift. Go U mighty RRRRs 'cos this is OUR YEAR!!!
Not sure what you're liking WBA and Strolls re: post #142, my post didn't register for some reason (probably my fault), but thanks anyway. Actually, I can see why Stroller would like it. It was his post.
Beale said Armstrong was shattered at half time so made a tactical switch. Roberts still felt something in his calf so didn't want to risk him. Steff felt something high up near his buttocks and medical team will know more in coming days. Fingers crossed its nothing serious. He added they need to work on Sinclairs fitness and how he uses up so much energy during games.
What a start to a season this is. Missed the 1st half but caught the 2nd, we seemed on the back foot but managing the game.
Thanks for the heads up on those players Hammersmith B. Liked for the update, not the injuries. Like your good self, hoping only minor issues and minimal time on the sidelines, if any at all. BTW, not sure what you meant by Armstrong being "shattered". Physically or emotionally? Either way, hope he's over it ASAP. Good lad Armstrong.

Another 3 points, not a vintage performance, but grinding out results like this is what matters. We had a good first half and did well to contain Wigan in the second period. Hope Steffan's injury is not too serious, my MOTM up until the time he went off. U Rrrrrr's. Enjoy the weekend all
Well back. Done my chores...so what about today. It was hard work. It took a few years off my life! I thought we were absolutely scintillating until we went 2-1 up. Some of the football we played in the first 25 minutes was outstanding. But they scored, we scored again...and we went into decline. We were looking desperately for half time...But then to make a substitution 2 minutes before half time with your captain holding his knee ( not his buttock...Mr Beale!!?)...indicated to me a serious injury. I am afraid. Amos and Dozzell did not hold the midfield, so we went to 3 at the back. We were a bit more secure, but Dickie demonstrated at least twice whilst he is no longer first choice CD. Laird was not at his best, Armstrong falls over a lot and currently can only last a half.( I wish he would score soon, it will make us feel a lot better). Tim 5vowels had a great shot saved...but immediately gave away the ball in a dangerous position. He will be amazing with more match experience uner his belt. The second set off subs, Roberts or Richards and Bonne, gave a little more energy... but still we got a huge slice of luck with the shot that came of bar and back to Dieng. Wigan came at us. It was a good, a very good 3 points...but we need to improve before Brum and Norwich. I hope Johansen is not to bad...Willock and Dunne are on their way back. Btw...we will fall apart if we lose Field for any length of time. Off to bed now. Night night
The difference between fun and funny is easily explained: fun is reading through this thread, funny is Jimmy Carr. What a nice fun and funny day
Beale meant physically shattered, but no doubt getting his first 2 starts took something out of him emotionally aswell. Not to be underestimated, which is good to see it meant so much to him. I have faith that Beale will handle him correctly. Think there's a top player in there once harnessed correctly.
Glad to see you're now on board with those of us that thought throwing Armstrong in at the deep end would be a bad idea. Lyndon Dykes's performances today and on Wednesday night were excellent CF displays and Sinclair is a way off that level at the moment. He's an exciting prospect and he may go on to be a much better player than Dykes - I hope he does - but for the moment I'd go back to using him off the bench.
Thanks Taff. Always good to see my team at the Championship acme. Good luck later today against the Cardi double F's (and no Bluebirds, I DON'T mean F#@&ers, although Taff here might well do so?? ). A win will put you in the illustrious company of QPR and the two Burns, well... at least QPR . So, cheers and enjoy the game mate.
Quite right Sooper. How many teams in the history of football, anywhere in the world, can say exactly that? Not including own goals, esp. by the keeper. Hradecky OG on Nov. 21, 2020 comes to mind Good to see he can take a laugh at his own expense. Good man and thanks for giving me a good laugh. Sorry, I don't know how to post the video. Just look it up on youtube. P.S. This should actually read, "Quite right Sam." But thanks also to Sooper for the heads up post. I had no idea about our lads' scoring prowess.
