Agree but we signed too many small weak players. Will always stand by that.
That's fair enough mate, I think the technical players will get stronger and will continue to learn the positional play to become top players (well hopefully)

Raging about today as we should never be conceding 4 goals in a half at home but I think we are in a decent place in the league considering we are newly promoted.

January is huge though as we need to sign quality players who can come in and help us this season

Wish the 'need a striker' crew would **** off. Especially knowing people's tempers will be short having blown a 2-0 lead at home.
So our lack of a front line has not been a problem for at least the last 5 or 6 matches? We have played some great football, made some great chances and we have not seen the rewards. Defensively we have been pretty solid in that time but today that’s been flipped on it’s head. Scored a couple, great but that doesn’t erase the frailties we have seen up front over an extended period of time. Sorry if I am not instantly on the backs of a defence who have up until today been resolute and done well for weeks. If we had made the most of our recent performances we would be a top six team but as it stands we are 13th.

Disappointing but we move on. I know the lack of strikers has been a problem but the absence of SAS has also highlighted the height advantage they give us when defending set pieces. Burnley we’re a different team second half and the quality they have shone through. It was always going to be a tough game but it’s so disappointing when you’re 2-0 up at half time. We are still on a learning curve in this league and overall the team have done so well this season. The return of Stewart, Simms and Ballard can’t come soon enough

Fair.

Just annoying I guess. Anyway Saturday night is upon us.

Burnley are a good team with a good manager.

IF we get a decent ref??? keep a clean sheet..you never know we might score a couple of goals and win 3 points.

Well we scored a couple of goals..

But a clean sheet!!!!

That was horrible... as bad as a result for a while 2 up and then lose!

Good night

I said to the lads they will come out and hammer the wings and be an interesting half. That was my banter mate.
Said the exact same to my mates, they started it as soon as the delay was over. Whereas we didn’t change anything

What signs did you see, Clocky, that we needed changes at HT?

We really needed a third goal to see them off in that first half and at 2-0 this was on the cards, but they began to push us back after our second goal and the signs were that they would come out in an all out attack after half time and Kompany knew it. We had Pritch, Embo and Clarke on , one of these had to come off for Bennette who can counter and score from the half way line and should have been on at half time when time was on our side. This may sound like its hindsight but its actually foresight.

As many seasons as it takes, if a young team are improving.

Genuinely not looking for an argument here,so no opinions, not allowed to be pissed off,no frustrations? I get what you're saying about a young team improving, but this is how it's going to be all the time, "self sufficient" is normally buy to sell. We'll always be a young team. Keeper at fault for none of the goals today, just quality goals.

Yeah. I have 2 good mates in the burnley end. Both messaged me at half time and said they would still win and outlined why. Mostly blamed out centre backs.

That second half was down to the lack of changes after half time and their premier league quality. Surely Mowbray could see what was happening quickly into the second half?

Also why when we have a lack of strength and height does he take Embleton off?

Well that was a game of 2 halves, if ever there was one. Kudos to Kompany, must have told them a fee hom truths at half time because they never let us play second half. At points it looked they had an extra man everywhere. We are unlucky that injuries are all to the big lads - Stewart, Simms, Alese, Ballard - that is some physical presence that makes a difference days like today.

No need to panic though. They are a good side, ahead of us by a year or two. We know we can play and I am not sure many other teams can do what Burnley have done today. Credit to them, rather than hammering us for me.

Went to uni with a burnley fan and he text me asking why we were playing long diagonal balls to nobody
