He’s the benchmark to which I compare against new or current Spurs LBs/ LWBs. That now probably makes it easier for everyone to see why I’d sell Sessegnon for a bag of chips at the first offer.
Agreed, good keeper but too much of a downgrade on Hugo. Doubtful we’ll sign a keeper on Hugo’s level but gotta at least get one semi-worthy of taking over. Pickford’s at the right sort of club for his ability.
More based on his form for England I must admit, he was poor for the penalty yesterday, and should have been sent off, but I think that there is a top class keeper in him and I think that unless we can get an Oblak, he may be as good as we can attract. If he plays at the WC like he did at the Euros where he was superb, he will move on from Everton.
Yeah he’s great for England but I’ve never really been convinced of him at club level. I quite like Robert Sanchez. I also think Meslier has the potential to be a really good keeper too. There’s a few up and coming keepers around Europe as well.
Think Pickford is massively over rated tbh. He regularly parties the ball back into a dangerous area (did it for the pen and 2 other times yesterday), needlessly antagonises the opposition players and fans which gets the fans behind the opposition and is regularly out of position.
Great article about Agbonlahor thinking Lloris is over rated and how he'd choose Pickford over him! RCL says " take a bow son, take a bow" https://theboyhotspur-com.cdn.amppr...lahor-says-one-tottenham-player-is-overrated/
Talking of over rated, Agbonlahor should include himself , he is by far the thickest of planks to grace the airwaves , I doubt it he could walk and chew gum at the same time
